Hello All,

If anyone can help me with this info it would be much appreciated.

I was married abroad on 1/25/2005, adn completed te entire CR1 process, my husband even got an interview date on June 4, 2006. However before the interview on Feb 2006, we decided to separate and I emailed the embassy to cancel visa.

However, now, Feb 2008, we have decided to reconcile. I wanted to know would I have to start the process all over again or cn I ask the embassy to resume the previous application.

On a note, during our separation neighter of us got amrried to anyone else or anything.

Also would a solid immigration lawyer be a good investment?

Thank you to anyone who responds!

I am pretty confident that even if you had not canceled it you they only wait for you for 1 year.

It is only my opinion, but I think you will have to start all over, and in fact you should probably enclose any information you have about first visa with the second application.

That way, all your cards are up front, and if they are gonna give you grief, you will find out early instead of late.

Good luck, and glad you worked out your problems!
