I really have no idea. I thought the only thing needed was proof of your ongoing relationship like pictures, e-mails, phone records, stuff like that.

I added my husband to my life and health insurance, bank account, lease and cc before he came and sent copies for his interview, so it is possible.

You can do some of the joint items before the interview and yes it is important to do so for AOS.

We are also filing our taxes together, which you can do if you request an ITIN and request to be treated as U.S. residents for tax purposes.

Exactly. My husband is not here either and I did all of those things.
