at the beginning it seemed tough.... then everything seemed surmountable. As my health is failing..... something I never in my life have ever faced ... it has seemed like I cannot get past each day. My family cannot relate... no one in my family has ever faced a chronic illness and my asthma is so severe I cannot be without my inhaler any day or away from my nebuliser for more than 6 hours.. I have never ever evere ever been sick in my life and I just do not understand why asthma is taking my life away from me. The dr told me I need to reduce stress.. but how am I supposed to do that when I am pregnant and I have no clue when if ever he is getting here.. immigration sucks

i'm so sorry to hear that!! i hope you feel better soon, insha Allah!!

we were apart for about 11.5 months...then i visited for 10 days...he got his visa, but we didn't expect it to come so soon and he's still taking care of some things before he travels to the US...about a month has passed since i last saw him and i think it'll be about another month...maybe month and a half before i see him again...

i pray that you're reunited with your hubby soon!! immigration does suck!!

all the best!! (L)

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

Yes, seperated for the past 16 months, AP, no clue. Getting through this only by the grace of God and walking by faith, not by sight.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

WOW - 16 months in AP - Cairo is driving people into insanity - Thank God that most of you ladies who are going thru Cairo are strong to endure this form of torture.

Nagishkaw,

You have been one of the exemplary members with great spirit who is always keeping everyone's spirits up - I'm amazed and admire you immensely especially now when you are facing health problems - hope you will feel better soon...

Lost in N.Y.,

First I would like to to clear up my post there. I meant to say, it has been 16 months since we last saw each other, hence being seperated for that length of time. Our stint , as it were, in AP has only been 5 months.

Secondly, although I would love to take credit for your kind words, I feel as though I cannot. To be honest, it has ALL been God, and I am no more than a willing vessel and no better than anyone else here.

I am not that comfortable in speaking of our trails and tribulations when I see so many here struggling and suffering. We all need to stay as optimistic as humanly possible, even though sometimes it is seemingly a never ending nightmare full if doubt and what-if's. But as Job once said, ' Though he slay me, yet I will trust in Him'.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Stay strong ladies. It does seem like the nightmare will never end and you aren't ever going to be together again....but you will! My best advice is to just keep yourself busy with a hobby or something to help take your mind off of it. I really wish a quick and happy response to all of you!
