Question about biometrics appt for AOS

I'm sure this is just a simple question and an even more simple answer, but I'm still half asleep and couldn't find anything on here. I have my biometrics appointment scheduled in 3 weeks for me and my son and I wanted to know what all is involved when going there. I'm guessing it is pretty painless. Do they also fingerprint my son? He's only 4 years old. Also, can my husband come to the appointment with me, or do I have to do this alone? I know I need to bring the letter for me and my son, along with our passports. Is there anything else that they didn't mention in the letter I need to bring? Thanks for any responses.

the biometric is verry painless , bring your marriage certificate with passport and of corse the letter , as to your son sorry dont know if hes goin to be fingerprinted too , but the whole thing takes aprox 15 - 20 min ,( not including the waiting time in the waitingroom )

when you enter they ask for the letter , then you have to fill out a form then they call your number ,all they do is take your 10 fingerprints ( with computer ) and your pic no stress at all very easy process , good luck

If your office is anything like my district office, your hubby won't be allowed in because the appointment in question doesn't involve him and he isn't needed as a translator for you. However, they may show leniency and let him in to help look after your son.

Hopefully they'll let my husband in. I'd hate for him to have to sit in the truck for who knows how long.

on my appointment my husband was aloud to come with me but had to waite in the waitingroom while they took my prints ( the place where they took my prints was just beside the waitingroom by a 3 foot wall seperation, where they had multiple desks , I was able to see my husband looking over that huge wall ,lol )
