CDN passport + AP doc

question:

for my AP document, would it pose a problem if it's issued in my new last name considering my CDN passport is still in my old last name?

it doesn't expire til Aug 2009 and I was hoping not to have to deal with it yet...

OH, and one more question:

does the Affidavit of support form have to be notarized?

till someone who actually knows jumps in and gives a better answer...Check the expiration date for the support form, I think that the ones that require notarized are out of date. I know that's how it is for the IR1 visas and I think that I've seen the same for AOS. As for your name and the passport, I carried a copy of our marriage cert with me when I traveled on my passport in old name and plane ticket in new name. not exactly the same as AP/passport discrepancy.

I don't think it would be a problem, provided you had a copy of your marriage certificate as well. Without that, they'd see a "different person," so the certificate would be handy proof of who you are. That's my advice anyway.

Hi Liz . to your question about the new name , thats no problem all forms have to be filled with the name your using now ,

just bring a copy of your marriage cert when you travel .

your avidavit dont have to be notorized , ( notorization only required for the K1 process not the AOS )
