I am in a healthy weight range for my height (I am glad I'm tall) But I would like to drop back down again- I gotta shake this "tourist mentality" I have in New Orleans- everything is party, food and drink.

I used to balance working 8 to 10 hours a day (on my feet) plus going to the gym 5 days a week. My social life was lacking but damn I looked good. I always said if I didn't have to work all those hours I would gladly spend a few hours everyday at the gym. I am so ashamed of myself- I gotta get back to the gym. I always felt so good when I went. As far as diet- Mardi Gras was a killer for me. Once I get back to a healthy eating plan, it only takes a few days before I feel like a totally different person- lighter, happier, more energy and no heartburn

umm yes I know and mine is over 30 ... 31.9 to be exact...

umm yes I know and mine is over 30 ... 31.9 to be exact...

Well, "obese" isn't an insult, opinion, or value judgement, just a medical definition (at least that's what really matters).

As gary said, it's the medical definition, not a judgment.

I think it also has alot to do with Body Image. I know women that are 50lbs overweight and they look awesome. In reality that might be a size 12 or so? And to me when you are still wearing mainstream sizes you aren't really what most people consider to be obese.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

I think its the image most people think of when they hear the word obese. Have you ever seen a news report on obesity? Just think of the images they use, I think thats what most people think of.

Most of my family is overweight. I eat pretty dang good now, now that I've gone away to college and gotten away from all the southern soul food, but it's so so so impossible to get anyone in my family to eat a vegetable :(

My dad will go to Burger King and order more burgers than he actually plans to eat, and then put them in the fridge, and then four days later I'll go over and he'll offer me (or any guests) four-day-old fast food. WHO DOES THAT? WHY?

I love most other countries I've been to for their sidewalks and pedestrian-friendliness...I can absolutely stuff myself in Edinburgh and come home like...the exact same weight months later, just from all the walking. I'm just waiting to poke my fiance's doughboy belly that I know he's gonna get just as soon as he's americanized :D

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

December 18th, 2007 - proposal in Madrid's Botanical Gardens with a duck standing behind him going 'food?'

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

February 29th, 2008 - NVC letter sent
