Thread Title: Witch trials begin today in Salem.

VJ Member 1: Burn 'em! :protest:

VJ Member 2: I think we should let the courts decide before we condemn them out of hand, don't you?

VJ Member 1: If you want to sit around and sing Kumbaya while your children are turned into newts, that's up to you. I say burn the b!tches! :ranting:

VJ Member 3: I read somewhere that it was all a misunderstanding based around some mouldy bread.

VJ Member 1:  Whatever, dude. Who's brought the matches?

Thread title: Mount Vesuvius erupts. Pompeii devastated.

VJ Member 1: Well, they had ample warning. Honestly, if you're stupid enough to try to sit out a volcanic eruption, that's your own fault.

VJ Member 2: Unfortunately, the majority of the people who remained weren't able to leave the city. It's all very well for the authorities to say "Leave now" but how? Not everyone has access to donkeys, you know.

VJ Member 3: Very true.... a noble beast.

VJ Member 1: Who cares? It's rediculous to locate a city at the foot of a volcano anyway. Let the city melt. I'm not gonna support my tax dollars going to repair it.

VJ Member 4: Um, it's 'ridiculous'...

VJ Member 5: I have a volcano in my pants! :jest:

Earnest VJ member 52: Have you considered seeing a gastroenterologist? My friend had a similar problem, and it turned out that she had celiac disease! But she endured many months of explosive discomfort before she figured out what it was.

Don't live with the discomfort and embarrassment of that volcano, seek help!

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
