Anyone still waiting for your paperwork to arrive at NVC. I was told that it takes at 2 to 4 weeks. I at almost 5 weeks. Is customer service helpful? Should I call? Who else is waiting?

I called and said that it can take up to 90 days. I knew that, but the last person told me average 2 to 4 weeks. I asked about the average and she said that not true for the i-130.

Email NVC (NVCinquiry@state.gov) with your USCIS receipt number at your email subject. NVC would tell you, if they have your petition with them.

I just called using the RFE line and the lady was looking at my file. It took her a bit. I had filed the I-129f so on the i-130 I said that I would ajust for PR in the US.

I asked if she could tell me if/when my i-130 was sent to NVC.

Anyway, she told me that my I-129f was closed the same day that my I-130 was approved. This I believe, but would not be suprised if its approved later.

She said that your i-130 said you would be adjusting in the US, so its probably been sent to your local office, but I don't have that information. I will pull your file and give you a call to let you know what is going on with your i-130. She said it probably will take about a week because she have a lot of files that she is working on now.

Anyway, I just have this feeling that my i-130 is just sitting and not been sent to the right place. I had this fear when it was approved first. She made me feel a little better that I have someone looking into it.

Just wanted to share.
