I know -- they sent me two bottles of the stuff -- hubby dearest was amazed to see that me doing the online surveys actually paid off! Between that and the bags of free dog food I have gotten it's been worth it. ;)

Maybe I'll get back into using it again ( it really did smell fantastic) with oxyclean.

I want free stuff toooooo. :crying:

Our washer doesn't require high efficiency detergent. My question is if it doesn't require can I still use it?

? Do you just visit a product site and look for surveys?

(Sorry for the hijack, Nessa. )

no...

I visit a couple of different survey sites....

on one site they send me emails and I get 5 points for each email I read and then once you get 1500 you get a 10 dollar gift card , you choose from a list of places that you want the card from.... they also send out emails with surveys and you get 10 points for just trying the survey and if you qualify you get 50 points....

I have a front end washer, and use the Costco brand!! Appears to work just fine and I believe Consumer reports gave it a high score, plus its a lot cheaper than Tide! I then reinvest the saved $$$ in beer!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Dear Tide

2266981143_5650c55718_o.jpg

I am writing to say what an excellent product you have!

I've used it all of my married life, as my Mom always told me it was the best.

Now that I am in my fifties I find it even better! In fact, about a month ago, I spilled some red wine on my new white blouse.

My inconsiderate and uncaring husband started to belittle me about how clumsy I was, and generally started becoming a pain in the neck.

One thing led to another and somehow I ended up with his blood on my new white blouse!

I grabbed my bottle of Tide with bleach alternative, to my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out!

In fact, the stains came out so well the detectives who came by yesterday told me that the DNA tests on my blouse were negative and then my attorney called and said that I was no longer considered a suspect in the disappearance of my husband.

What a relief! Going through menopause is bad enough without being a murder suspect! I thank you, once again, for having a great product.

Well, gotta go, have to write to the Hefty bag people.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

If your washer requires high efficiency detergent. Use it. The regular stuff can damage your washer.

<a href="http://fixitnow.com/wp/2007/11/01/high-efficiency-detergents-front-loading-washers-and-the-great-unwashed/" target="_blank">High Efficiency Detergents, Front-Loading Washers, and the Great Unwashed

by Samurai Appliance Repair Man</a>

That's the truth.

I was using Tide with Bleach (powder) and regular Tide (liquid) in my front loader, instead of buying HE detergent.

Last year my front loader started shaking a lot, and sometimes would stop altogether. I consulted the dealer and he asked me if I was using HE detergent. When I confessed I wasn't, he scolded me and told me that regular detergents have too many surfectants that gum up the machine.

He told me to run a couple of loads of rags or towels through the machine with dishwasher detergent (to clean it out) and go back to HE.

It worked. The machine healed itself.

LOL.

Nessa -

Do you have many white towels? I do a load of white towels each week with bleach. White socks and skivvies go into that load also. Hot water, hot rinse. This is the only load that gets bleach.

I do another load of 'light colored' clothes (including white t-shirts with transfers or designs). Khaki pants would fall into this category. Cold water, cold rinse.

One load of jeans and anything red or orange - cold water, cold rinse. One load of other darks - cold water, cold rinse.

All with Tide HE powder in the front loading machine. All with liquid fabric softener.

Did anybody have a problem with laundry detergent giving their baby a rash? I always bought the unscented stuff, but my wife got scented detergent because she liked the smell. Now it seems the baby gets a rash, but I'm not sure it's from that.
