Salaam All,

Sorry, i've been so full of questions. Thank you for all the advice and help and well-wishes...

Here are my questions for today:

How does the Consulate send out Packet 3? Is it via regular mail or a trackable carrier like DHL or the Moroccan version of DHL (i forget the name of it)?

And how many of your SO's lived in a place where his or her address was a bit sketchy (no mailbox or apartment number)? Did the Packet still arrive?

We put down my husband's work address for his mailing address, but what if he is not there when/if the person comes to deliver the Packet?

Thanks again for your input!

My husband lived in a small town outside Meknes. He received his through regular mail. His family gets their mail delivered to a shop of some sort -- their house isn't on the mail route. His brother passed by the shop and the person called out that my husband had a letter. He didn't need to be present when it was delivered.

Congratulations! I remember making that call to NVC. I was in Morocco, visiting my husband. He had his packet in hand before I left and his interview a month later. So here it goes. Hang on, keep prepping, and good luck!

mail is bad there...but he should have prob week to 10 days after casa sends out then interview say a month to six weeks, take this time now to study study study look at the interview questions, get everything lined up and be prepared for the interview. Also you can start getting the documents you know he will need as they sometimes take a little time to get but yet since they are good for 3 months you will be covered, start thinking about the medical, did you send him a copy of your original application so he can know what they are looking at?

Hi brnidokiegurl!

Thanks for your message.

Yes, i left him a copy of the petition last time i was there, last month. And we've been practicing the questions. Slowly but surely we are trying to get organized.

So, how long usually before Casa sends out Packet 3? i just would like to know when to start worrying? i noticed on some people's time lines, it says about a month... but on the consulate info page on this site, i think it says like 3 months??

Please wish us luck! We will need it!

My husband had his packet 3 in hand within a couple of weeks after it left NVC (January 2007). It's a little like hovering at the top of a roller coaster, isn't it? :) Relax if you can. Sounds like you're doing everything right.

Thanks, I'm trying to cover all of my bases.

Now I'm stressing over if I have enough $$ to sponsor him. It's like I can't go a day without taking a break to relax. I'm sure you all can relate! Thank goodness for you guys and this website!

Mona_Jamie, i love your little kitty and the toilet paper! That's so cute.

Have a good weekend, everybody!
