Received the official notice in the mail today of approval - actual date of approval according to the NOA is February 4th, not 5th. I'll wait and see what the actual card says before I update the status list.

What did you send to your senator, and which one of the two.

I have the same timelines like you and it's getting ridiculous.

I sent a completed Authorization form that I printed off of Senator Johnny Isakson's website that gave him permission to inquire on my behalf. The form included my A number and a description of my problem, as well as contact information and the signed authorization. I also included a copy of the notice from the USCIS online status inquiry page showing that the application had been filed and the application number. I included the information on the form that applicants who had filed the same time I had had received their approval nearly 2 weeks earlier and after a year, I was tired of waiting. I faxed it to Senator Isakson's Atlanta office, and then called to verify they had received it. Senator Isakson has an assistant who works especially on Immigration cases named Charles who was very helpful.

I do hope you receive your approval very, very soon! I agree that it is ridiculous.

you can add me to the list of approvals i got a letter yesterday saying i was approved on the 2/5/09 yep they must have had a rocket up their bums!! Was not even touch and still not updated on line but have the letter saying that i will receive my card within in 60 days.

I filed my inquiry with my Senator's office on Friday, January 30th; they submitted it Monday, February 2 and I received my approval notice Thursday, February 5th. My official snail mail letter says it was approved Wednesday, February 4th. It may be coincidental but it sure doesn't look like it.

Hi Crazy_Brit,

Congratulations, Crazy_Brit on getting your 10yr green card!

After such a long 11 months wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you, Crazy_Brit!

you can add me to the list of approvals i got a letter yesterday saying i was approved on the 2/5/09 yep they must have had a rocket up their bums!! Was not even touch and still not updated on line but have the letter saying that i will receive my card within in 60 days.
