VSC I-1751 Status List

Well USCIS updated their processing times yesterday. It says November 25 2007, since now I'm out of the timeframe so I called USCIS. The person that I talked to told me that the official that has my application is working on April 2008 so she was going to send him a remainder. She says that I don't have any RFE or anything. I hope this is normal. She confirmed all my info, got my email and phone number. She also said to call in 45 days if I don't receive any notification. I guess I'll keep waiting.

What number did you call?

I called the number on the NOA and just about everywhere else, 1-800-375-5283, they have an option to select if you are out of the processing times timeframe. It's really hard to speak to someone, and you can't just dial 0, I just started punching options that say "if you think there's a problem with your application" or something like that.

So we are still waiting on our receipt. Our filing date was 9/24/08 and we still haven't received anything. Our check was cashed on October 3. I called the 800 number and they patched me through to someone else who verified our information and gave us our receipt number but it is showing up as invalid? Any advice?

Don't worry. The number that you will be using to look up your status online will be the number on the biometrics appoinment. So wait until you receive your biometrics notice and use this number, that's when you'll be in the system. I don't know why can't USCIS use the first NOA number. Anyway, is not that is invalid. Wait for the biometrics notice. Good luck :thumbs:
