Nothing!! i dont get it.....they promised to improve the processing times.

They promised that a year ago, and they really did it for CSC, TSC and NSC. :crying: But VSC it not on the improved list, VSC processing times became even worse than it was 1 year ago.

can someone write a classy letter so we can all Print, sign and mail/email it to our states senators of which the VCS is responsible for?

HI,

weeeerrrre back, for the stress and the next long wait. Hope everyone is doing good. Please put us down also if someone has a chance.

sent direct to VSC via certified mail on July 24th. Recieved in Vermont on 26th July, per USPS tracking.

Personal Check cashed on July, 28 (they are fast with that part it seems).

NOA dated July 28 received on Aug. 2nd.

Yes, this is absolutely normal. You have to wait for your biometric letter, it will have the number you will use for checking your status online.

However, I cannot check my status online. It always says that my receipt number is not on file. Is that pretty common with this type of application? I know I had some probs with that stuff with my I-130 originally.

Make sure you check your status with the receipt number on the biometrics appointment letter (and not the one on your NOA1). And some have noted that their receipt number didn't become active until after their biometrics appointment.

As a side note, I had my biometrics a couple of weeks ago, and my receipt number still shows up as not in the system, so it could be that its no big deal. Apparently they have to update the system with new information, and sometimes it can take some time.
