I always get the slowest service centers. When we were doing out K1 it took forever to get approved. We had to get our state senator in on it before we ever heard anything. I will say Renato's AOS went quickly and without an interview. Hopefully VSC will kick it up a little....

Added our info to list. I sent directly to VSC despite being in Houston area. I read that notice from USCIS the day before I was going to mail it. Glad I did, it probably saved us a month. Now we get ready for the long VSC wait.

We just had our biometrics but the website can't find our case status when I search for it. Probably not a good sign...

Anyone else from VSC had biometrics ages ago (Feb for us) and the website STILL hasn't updated your case when you go to check your status?

We just had our biometrics but the website can't find our case status when I search for it. Probably not a good sign...

We just got our 1 year extension NOA for the 751 form. It says right in the letter conditional residents wont get the biometrics appointment. I guess when we did it the first time for the 2 year green card was good enough. Too bad I already sent the extra 80 bucks. I wonder if I'll ever get it back. When we travel do we use the NOA letter to show the green card is approved. Any help appreciated.

Hmm, that doesn't sound right. Since I never received the NOA extension letter I can't compare it, but I am pretty sure that it says that there will be a biometrics letter sent. The application requires a biometrics fee and the USCIS only keeps biometrics valid for 18 months. Would you type out exactly what it says on your extension letter? It sounds like it is a different letter than others have received and I am curious if this is a new direction now. I do know that I - and every other conditional resident that I know who has applied for the I-751 - have had to do biometrics.

The NOA extension letter is not an approval letter. It basically states that they have received your application and that your status is extended for one year while that application is being processed. You need to present the extension letter and the expired green card when returning to the US after traveling outside of the country.

Hmmm, I have never heard of this either... :unsure: . Everyone (on this site at least) appears to have to redo the biometircs when they file the I-751. Maybe they are changing the system, but one thing they do at biometrics s take the picture they put on your Green Card...

Like Kathryn asked, maybe you could type out exactly what it says on the letter.

One question, did you submit your package to Vermont?

The wait is over for me. :dance: Seven has always been my lucky number and I got approved on 07/07 after exactly 10 months at VSC (filed jointy in sep, bio done in oct). I can file for citizenship in 2 months. Good luck to everybody. I actually thought Vermont closed down for the summer lol, but I guess somebody is still there approving us! :star:

We just got our 1 year extension NOA for the 751 form. It says right in the letter conditional residents wont get the biometrics appointment. I guess when we did it the first time for the 2 year green card was good enough. Too bad I already sent the extra 80 bucks. I wonder if I'll ever get it back. When we travel do we use the NOA letter to show the green card is approved. Any help appreciated.

Hmmm, I have never heard of this either... :unsure: . Everyone (on this site at least) appears to have to redo the biometircs when they file the I-751. Maybe they are changing the system, but one thing they do at biometrics s take the picture they put on your Green Card...

Like Kathryn asked, maybe you could type out exactly what it says on the letter.

One question, did you submit your package to Vermont?

I sent my package to Mesquite texas like it said for my area. The letter i got is from vermont service center. I think the note is for conditional resident applicants only that dont get the ASC letter. It later says down below what to do after you recieve your biometrics appointment.

Added our info to list. I sent directly to VSC despite being in Houston area. I read that notice from USCIS the day before I was going to mail it. Glad I did, it probably saved us a month. Now we get ready for the long VSC wait.
