I checked my status and the message changed. It said that my case was sent to a USCIS office for approval. ??? That's where it was since May, a USCIS office.

That's good news. We got touched about 2 weeks before we got approved, but some people had even less time between.

We got the "approved" touch and e-mail on 3/6, but were also touched on 3/8 and 3/9. Hopefully that means my husbands card got mailed and we'll get it very soon.

We still haven't gotten a paper letter of approval in the mail yet though.

No approvals in a few days......:(

I am still waiting to hear from the USCIS on my case.....my file got touched on the 5th and 6th of this month and so far no follow up or any new development..... :( soon will be an year since i filed..

No touches here since the biometrics last year :crying: I guess we are going to focus on applying for husband's citizenship - less than a month left before he'll be eligible for naturalization.

I guess vermont stopped working on I-751 cases altogether. Why should they, when they can just ignore them and one day someone will ship them off to California so the CSC can do the work for them. It's really disgusting. We should each write a complaint letter and send it to VSC on the same date. Let's say March 31st?

wow.....more than likely you are correct Usher - VSS has completely abandonned their work on the I-751 applications on file.

My frustration is growing by the hour with their inefficency. I am considering contacting my congressman if no development takes place within the next week or so.... I am in Austin, TX and the local economy isbeging to be affected by the overall harship. There is a pretty good chance that the company I am working for will lay off people inthe next few weeks....... If that happens how TF would I be able to find a new job if the only proof of status I have is a stamp in papssport which is handwritten and specifically extends my CONDITIONAL stay for one more year... who wants to hire a temporary worker if one year is roughly needed for one to get used/trained for a possition..?!?!

I currenlty have a corporate job and I am pretty sure if worst comes to worst, me not having the actual GC to prove my status, will limit the type of employment I would be able to find!!!

Extremely frustrating!!!!!

wow.....more than likely you are correct Usher - VSS has completely abandonned their work on the I-751 applications on file.

My frustration is growing by the hour with their inefficency. I am considering contacting my congressman if no development takes place within the next week or so.... I am in Austin, TX and the local economy isbeging to be affected by the overall harship. There is a pretty good chance that the company I am working for will lay off people inthe next few weeks....... If that happens how TF would I be able to find a new job if the only proof of status I have is a stamp in papssport which is handwritten and specifically extends my CONDITIONAL stay for one more year... who wants to hire a temporary worker if one year is roughly needed for one to get used/trained for a possition..?!?!

I currenlty have a corporate job and I am pretty sure if worst comes to worst, me not having the actual GC to prove my status, will limit the type of employment I would be able to find!!!

Extremely frustrating!!!!!

That's completely my thoughts too... I am graduating... actually I was suppose to graduate already, but I am not rushing it since jobs are scarce... but this summer I need to graduate for sure (not delaying that) and I know that one year extension is going to be a major issue... most positions state USC only, permanent residence or must show employment eligibility and I know showing them a one year letter that will expire soon does not look good! To us we know what it means, but not everyone does. my current employer (school) had to have some convincing that when my gC expired that my letter really really allowed me to work took a while and they had to investigate it... and I wonder why would someone hire me if they had that doubt or just couldnt bother to investigate it.

Totally understand and totally agree. We've paid them an outrageous fee but they can't even work within their own time frame, which is the target goal 6 months that they set up for themselves.

6/17/2010 - Able to see case status "Initial Review"

6/18/2010 - LUD

7/2/2010 - Called mis-information line to put in a service request for STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED "FP NOTICE"

7/8/2010 - LUD, at 2:32am, received text msg and e-mail for req. for add'l evidence being mailed out on July 6th, believe it's for the FP

7/12/2010 - Received FP notice in mail, scheduled for 8/2/2010

7/15/2010 - Walk in FP

7/22/2010 - Online status changed to "Case sent to local office for interview schedule"

7/27/2010 - Received interview letter for 8/23/2010

8/23/2010 - Passed interview, was informed that next oath date is 9/22/2010 and oath letter will come in the mail

9/3/2010 - Received oath letter in the mail for 9/22/2010

We got Abdel's green card in the mail today. It's dated 3/6/09 - the same day they showed approved online. That was really fast. Hopefully they will get to all of you fast now. I was beginning to give up too, but then this, so hopefully those of you who have been waiting a long time will be approved very soon.

This is really good news for us because Abdel has been a temp at his job now since last June. 2 people have left on his shift but not been replaced, so as soon as they drop the hiring freeze he is next in line to get hired. Like some of you said, the possibility of that happening with a piece of paper that showed him only legal to work for another couple of months wasn't promising, but now maybe it can happen soon.
