had no touches on the case.... no emails from CRIS......nothing in my mail yet......but Have received an email from my lawyer, saying she received an approval letter for my perm green card... and that I'll get it within two weeks ..................

I guess I'm Happy .............=))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Congratulations on your approval! yes, it seems to be running half and half - half of the people are notified by email and the other half know nothing until they receive the actual approval letter or green card in the mail. Weird system. At least yours is on its way.

Hi,everyone...what's going on with VSC I wonder...I still haven't gotten my permanent GC and as of Feb.25 they are doing march 02 2008 and I have filed mine on Feb.16 2008..so I just called the USCIS and talked to the customer rep.,she said that I have to wait for another 20 some days and if then I still have no card,I should call and let them know so they can look into it...I just wonder what could be possibly wrong?...they are ridiculous and I am sick of waiting...

I applied 02/15/08 and they told me exactly the same thing that i still have to wait until March 17th (processing time) to talk to someone else. I have a INFOPASS for this friday and I will let you know any updates.

Do you think that they lost some of the files after 02/15/09 because alot of them are still waiting.

So Keith got his approval letter in the mail last Friday (2/27/09) dated the previous Monday (2/23/09) stating he had been approved, but today I got an email stating that his card had been ordered just yesterday, March 3rd (a whole week after his approval). I thought the card would have been ordered back on 02/23/09 when he was approved - is that right?

Hi ArMeNIaN,

I spoke with my lawyer today about it. I'm from NYC, she told me that its perfectly "normal" for the 1 year+ delay. and that all of her clients gets a 2nd 1 year extension which during that time they get the final approval. with that been said, I set up an appointment for InfoPass to get my passport stamped and to get more info of what it the real status on my case. as we can see the uscis online case sysytem is not that great and in many cases it doesnt update the status.
