I am so confused by this requirement for domicile status in America.

I read that one of the ways you can show this is by working for a US organization overseas. I was a Peace Corps volunteer until August here. But, since August, I have not been working for the US gov. So, does that no longer qualify?

If I have to show something else, here is my problem: I am registered to vote and have a DL from one state, and my parents (the address we will be living at and the co-sponsors I would be using) are in another state. The address on my DL is no longer an address I can use. I also have a bank account in America. What should I use and how do I show my domicile status?

Thanks!

Being a registered voter counts a lot - shows ties to the country.

You could perhaps transfer the bank account to your folk's address. Or open another bank account near them. Also, important it is to note both your experience with the Peace Corps; and a letter stating your intent to return to the US as soon as the visa for your spouse is granted.

Good luck, L.
