Grab on some letters from family and friends stating that they know you, know you're married and legit, etc.

It is indeed looking better!!!

good luck!

I had my interview last week, and we didn't have alot of things with both names on it, not even a bank account, it's in my husbands name, they were looking for tax returns, which we had. but I forgot to take current w2's. I took letters and Dr bills with my name on. They did ask for the "story" of how we met and talked with my kids about meeting my husband, I was worried as we didn't have much on paper together, the IO was very nice to us and I was soooooooo happy it was over with our passports stamped. Good Luck! Where are you going for your interview?

We too had interview last week. We had :

- income tax returns on 2007;

- health, life, car insurance;

- joint account;

- my pay stubs from last 2 months showing the adress

- w2 on 2007 again showing the adress;

- pictures and greetings card from our family

I think evidence too is important but the most important is the story how you met each other, how is your life after marriage.

I think you will be fine to the interview.Good luck!

So I guess to revise... we have the following:

- Copy of Joint tax return for 2007

- PG&E utility bill in joint names

- Joint credit card from the UK with the statement coming here

- She is listed as "pay on death beneficiary" on my bank account

- Plenty of letters/statements that we have in our sepereate names (at&t in my wife's name, adoption paperwork in mine) that have come to the same address

- Plenty of photos of us kissing/hugging/together with our dog&cat

Starting to look better...

utility bills is important also as per experience. it really proves that u are both living in the same house.

Hey all,

We had a great interview at 630 Sansome in San Francisco. The lady was so nice to us. We only waited 20 minutes. She wasn't so interested in our lack of proof, as she said that "As you have only been married a short while, we don't expect you to have a lot of joint evidence yet". She approved us, and recommended that we start collecting everything that we have together so that we will not need another interview in 2 years to lift the conditions. The more evidence that is sent to the service centre, the less that they care to interview again. She understood that we only had my wife on the lease because it was cheaper :-)

She was interested in how we met, but didn't really probe. I think it was obvious that we were a happily married couple!

So Happy!!!
