I'll add mine to that -- YOU ARE NOT A BIG BABY!!! This is very stressful and to keep you waiting so long is absolutely egregious in my mind! We waited over five weeks after they put us under review to get an answer. The way they seemingly play with our lives is just wrong! So you go ahead and rant and do whatever you have to to handle this. That's what we're all here for -- we know and have felt your pain. Even though I'm not going through it anymore, I still remember how hard it was. I'm sure it will be any time now, if you can just hold on!

Bye until tomorrow when I check in on you! :D

We keep cheering you on!!! It will come soon! How much longer can they make you wait!

Well we finally sent our first packet off.....we have been procrastinating, plus with the belated honeymoon and me just being nervous about filing again so soon! Boy the prices have went up since last year though. It was $190 for the I-130.....relative petition.....

Nigel glad to hear from you!

Misty you too!

Can you give me some help with all this paperwork now that I have started the process....just one quick question? Do I have to file a I-129f too....I keep seeing all these people that have filed that after their first NOA came through. We are now married......Just confused!!!

Baby Boy born on November 24th 2008

Gosh thanks guys. You made me cry. It doesn't take much to do that these days. I have a million people asking me everyday if we have heard anything yet. I feel bad because I actually snapped at one person the other day and I know they mean no harm. I told them not to worry. When we hear something they will know it. (if it's good news) I guess they just don't understand that this is do or die for us. This one part will decide if we get to live the life we dream about. They just don't understand how important this is. There is no way to make them understand. I'm so glad I don't have to try to explain it to you guys. Don't get me wrong. I don't wish this on anyone but it's nice to know that there is someone who knows how this twist you all up on the inside and outside.

Thanks for listening and thanks for not making me feel like a blooming idiot.

Jpkeswim,

Wish I could help you out with the paperwork but I don't know anything about the I-130 or the K-3. You might try posting that in another thread to get a quicker response. Sorry wish I could help. I hope they get all the bugs worked out and things go smoother for you when you guys get to this point. Maybe something will happen before you guys have to go through this again. Wouldn't it be sooooooooo nice?

Thanks again,

Vicky

Nigel, he spends every bit of it by the time it reaches us. I am really sick and tired of his #######. I am telling you, divorce is in my future as much as I hate the idea. I just simply cant live this way. All I wanted for him was to save a little but he cant even do that. It really pisses me off.

Hi Vicky and one and all

hoping each day to see some of the best news yet, I understand just what you mean about people asking all the time Vicky and it must be hard for you to have to keep answering that you do not know yet. But these people are showing care for you and do not realise just what you are going through, try to grin and bear it Vicky because one of these days, sooner rather than later I am sure you are going to get the OK and then you can shout it from the rooftops

As we have been going 13 months now we get the same reaction from people, asking why we are still here but a lot of them say it very sarcastically because basically they do not believe that we are going. The trouble is that people who are not going through it or have never done anything like this have not got a clue as to how stressful and how long it can take and then at the end of all the processing you can still get a waiver.

I check in most days Vicky - just praying for you

Vicky,

I wanted to thank you again for all the help you gave us way back in the first of the year in gathereing data on the UK for our waiver letter --- it is probably a good thing that we are going for this at different Embassies because I used quite a bit of your backup documentation and details. The last time We called the Help line they told us it was waiting in a que at a Adjudacators Desk---

our letters with the backup documentation were over a hundred pages long --- I just hope that all of it was sent with the waiver to Vermont because when we submitted it in Vancouver Canada they were saying things like, "this is waaaay too much documentation" and "You dont need this or that" --- I had to almost force them to take the waiver package I put together -- -- now I would just scream if they asked us for more documentation ---

No problem KTM.

Hey it was just a few items and it was on the web. I just told you where to find it and that's what we are all here for. To help each other and to support each other. I don't see a problem with people using the same information if it applies to their situation. Many people on the other site do it and the majority of them file at the same embassy.

London did the same to us. They said some of our documentation wasn't necessary and removed it from the package. We just mailed it in to the sub office a couple of days later. Kind of makes you wonder how much of it they throw away after you leave. I doubt now that we will receive an RFE for more information. We have been under review for almost 4 weeks but nothing would surprise me.

I'm just disappointed because London was doing pretty good about sticking to their 12 to 15 week time frame until our case come up. At least for the cases of people on here. Now they have slowed way down and I'm just getting a little anxious. It makes me feel bad for whining when so many others have to wait much longer than I do. It's just that I've been watching for over a year and expected things to be done by now. I should have known better.

I hope things go a little quicker for you than what seems to be the normal for Canada. It's strange why they all can't be close to the same timeline. I can't imagine the stress it causes for people who have to wait much longer than I have. I guess if your expecting it, well that might help a little.

Hang in there and keep at them. Stay strong most of all

Vicky

Hi Nigel.

Sounds like you have your hands full and busy there working on your home. Gosh it seems just like yesterday you were on here waiting. It's been several months and that seems impossible.

Yeah I guess we filed just a tiny bit later than we should. Not sure why things came to a hault over there. You know sometimes It would be nice if they would just give you a straight answer. Tell you they are just back logged and running behind because of vacations, busy doing other things. Anything is better than getting a canned response to an email.

Oh well after a couple of weeks of feeling flustrated and devistated, well I think I'm at peace now. Well at least I don't feel like I'm having a panic attack all the time. :D

Come back soon and let us know how things are going with you.

Thanks for checking in and the good wishes,

Vicky
