Hi! First of all thankyou very much for your reply.

I came here last June 26, 2007 on a K1 Visa. On July 3, 2007 my husband and I got married. I received my EAD on November 29, 2007. Now I am scheduled for the AOS interview on March 19. My question is, will they be more concerned on our financial status or our marriage. As for our marriage, I think we can prove that we truly are married (for one thing I am 5 months pregnant  ). However, when it comes to our financial status, as of now, both of us are not making very good money. When my husband and I filed for the AOS last year, my husband was still doing good. Right now I am working as a Physical Therapy Asst, 24 hrs a week for 18/hour and my husband isn't making that much either. Will I be rejected because of this? What should we do? Please help!!!!

Hi Kimmy-

Congrats on being pregnant! I think you have nothing to worry about re AOS.

In our case, I was working but my husband was not and I don't think USCIS was interested in our finances. We were approved pending the name check. Good Luck!

congrats on the pregnancy :) . I think the minimum income requirement for a married couple is about twenty thousand (but don't quote me on that). You could also get a sponsor like a parents or a friends residing within the US. In our case, They really attention to income in NYC, even though we were a little above the poverty guideline we got a sponsor just in case  .

I think you're fine. You already completed the financial paperwork (I-184) when you filed the AOS. Just bring originals to the interview incase the ask, only show them if they ask.

That is such a relief!!! Thanks a lot for your reply. You don't know how much it means to me!
