Is it a requirement? Hubby had all his vaccs on Thursday and I sent out the records to Dr. Arnold but I just thought about the TB skin test. They didn't do the skin test. He did get the x-ray done at the foreign embassy. Will they RFE or do I just have hubby get it done between now and the AOS interview? Also they gave him the vacc will that affect the skin test? :help:

Okay so I guess we will just send out the AOS and wait for the RFE. I will have hubby go back and get the TB skin test so that we can send the RFE back right away.

Thanks.

I don't know it this test is only for K3 visas, but I didn't get any TB test, and the doctor didn't say any about it.

I think it's a generally requirement now. You will probably get an RFE or the IO will give you an RFE at the interview.....

It is a general requirement now, however, some offices are more stringent than others so it really depends on who is looking at your case.

Send in your AOS without it, but just know that you can be asked for it.

That is SO stupid they require the skin test if you have the X-ray's done within the same time frame as the medical. If you have a positive test, they are going to do a chest x-ray to determine if you do/dont have it. So what's the difference if they just skip out that step! Everyone always insists my husband get a skin test and it drives me nuts, since he had the TB shot so OBVIOUSLY will be positive!

I agree. Hubby just had the vaccine so duhh. We have the x-ray from the medical still so I don't want to be charged for an x-ray grrrrrrrr

If you are using the medical from the foreign panel physician then the mantoux test apparently is not required (it may get read from the x-ray).. If you have the medical done in the USA it will be performed.... they do not x-ray unless the test returns positive....

YMMV
