So after a lot of talking and research we have decided to resubmit our I-129F application, after receiving the letter explaining how they has lost parts of the original application.

At first we were planning on resubmitting it, then we heard how it was slowing down applications and wasn't actually being approved anymore. Having done a lot of research on both here and other websites as well as talking to a lot of couples who have been where we are. Cody and I have decided that this is what is best for us and if it doesn't come through before the I-130 then at least we tried and we're not out any money.

So it was shipped out yesterday and should be there by April 29. Fingers and toes crossed that we get some good news sometime soon after that =) Having something else to track gives hope that our little family may be together sometime before Thanksgiving.

On more exciting news, Cody will be here in 34 days and soon after that we'll be welcoming our daughter into the world. The next two months shall give hope to this waiting process and even more meaning to our lives.

Timeline

During my daily routine, I came across this: my timeline changed dramatically

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as July 26, 2008*.

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated as early as August 25, 2008*.

I got no more touches since March 14, when the petitions were paired I think.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but has it happened to someone else recently? Actually I am a bit worried.. someone in the same situation as mine, also going with a lawyer got an RFE.. God help we won't get one, although we didn't put any pictures in the file. USCIS officer told us I would only have to take pictures and other proof at the interview in Bucharest, so we only attached Affidavits of a very close friend and of our godparents  ... What do you guys think? The last thing I want is an RFE delaying the process.. It's slow enough!

Our K-3 timeline

- jan. 12 2008 - Wedding

- feb. 11 2008 - sent I-130 to Chicago lockbox

- march 06 2008 - sent I-129F to CSC

- may 06 - APPROVED

- jun 12 - medical and interview passed! Visa in the passport!!!

- jun 24 - entry in US through Chicago

AOS

- jul 16 2008 - AOS + EAD sent to Chicago lockbox

- jul 28 - NOAs for AOS and EAD

- aug 6 - Bio letter

- aug 11 - RFE e-mail (I-864)

- aug 19 - Biometrics done (they scanned my little fingers maybe 20 times because fingerprints were not clear enough :P )

Thank you God! Just a few more steps..

I wouldnt worry too much! If it happens then deal with it, but just keep thoughts high and everything will work itself out. I didn't include any pictures with our application and I know a bunch of people who didn't either. Just cause you haven't had a touch in a long time it doesn't mean you are in for bad news otherwise we would all be in trouble =) good luck!

yeah my k-3 time line would be great. we can't fly till mid-july so it wouldn't be too long =)

i'm just trying to keep positive thinking. we're still waiting for our k-3 noa1 so we'll see how long that takes.

i'm glad the trip was good!! that's what i'm worrying about, that he's going to come and it's going to go by so fast. but at least he's here a little longer than we had originally thought he'd be able to come out for so i'm happy about that.

Not sure if I am on the right Feb team here. I filed CR1 last Nov, but K3 in Feb. As of today, nothing heard for both. Please advise if someone here have similar timeline. In just a few days, my CR1 will be hitting its 180 days. Sigh... Where is my NOA2???

missingyou - i'm sorry but almost all of us have only just filed our i-130 and i-129f in february. but welcome to our group and i hope you hear something soon!

ralu&doru - wow! i'm so jealous my i-130 time line hasn't been that close...ever. hopefully it works out for you guys and you don't have to wait a lifetime for it.

danyel - our time lines are still close to one another you're august 15 and i'm at august 1. do you know how long the wait at your embassy is after your application is approved? i'm still trying to figure it out for my embassy, but i have heard that it can be a matter of weeks or some even wait months just depending on how fast your embassy works.
