How should i put all the papers for my AOS packet in the sealed envelope when i send it off? Should i put it in a folder, use any kind of clip, such as ACCO clips?

Or should i keep the papers loosely and just place them in the envelope like that?

And for the $1010, hat do i attach the check to? should it be in a separate envelope or anything?

They're not going to send a RFE based on how you clipped your papers together, but to make it easier for them try to have some sort of order to your items. Here's how we did it:

AOS application, pictures (taped to a blank page with his name and A#), supplemental materials -all clipped together with an old fashioned paper clip

EAD application, pictures, etc - all clipped together with a paper clip

Check(s) in a plain envelope with label on outside as well as a cover letter on top of the entire packet clipped with a binder clip to keep it all together.

We also used tabs for the AOS section because there were a lot of different pieces to it. We put it in the same order as the AOS guide lists it.

Don't use staples because it messes up pages and they'll almost certainly have to remove the staples to put it in your file, make copies, etc.

Don't fret over this too much. I suspect that they have a specific order they personally like, so they'll likely shuffle your papers to fit this system.

I found the guides on this site to be very helpful. However, I seperated each application (485, 765, etc) with binder clips so they were all seperate, and any papers that I was sending (copies of passport, copies of birth certificates, etc) I put holes in the top with a hole puncher so they lined up with my application.

I like to think that if I made their job a little easier, my file would be handled nicely. Wishful thinking, perhaps, but I'd rather make it nice and in order than just stuff it all in an envelope and let them sort it out.

Dont worry about that too much,if you send it over the USPS then they have free envelopes there,I put all the papers in there without clips or anything of that nature and off it went.

Idid hower have th cover letter ontop,it was all perfectly fine.

Hi, I used ACCO fastnester for two hole punch that I bought in office max to attach papers that need to be conect (like G325a, birth certificate with translation and etc)

To separate each form like I-485 with folowing document, I-130 and I-765 I use rubber bands.

Pics I put in sandwich bag and attached to blank paper by the stapler, and checks - payment I put in envelope and wrote what is inside and attach on the front of I-485 and I-130 by the paper clip!

I hope I help :-)

I don't think these stuff makes a significant difference , if any at all. The only important matter here is to be assured that the center has received your envelope , so post them with a mail that has delivery notice. One of my friends couldn't believe that after one month he found that his envelope hasn't been relieved by the center.SO USE AN EXPRESS MAIL WITH DELIVERY NOTICE.However in order to make it easier for the people there , you can arrange the papers in order, still they have to rearrange it .

Regards
