Obama has held an elected office for 4 years longer than Hillary.

I suppose the problem is that his record in elected office is a little underwhelming.

I dunno if this is in response to my comment or not, so if it is..yeah, you're right as far as technicalities go.

But much of her life has been spent in politics, and there's no discounting the experience she has just from that. For that not to count as experience seems short sighted to me.

Not to start a poop fling, but living her life as a first lady certainly does give her more in terms of experience.

The only experience that Hillary has more than Obama is her 8-year time in the white house as the President's spouse.

I don't think that qualifies me to run a record label by any means., which is what the most direct comparison would be. Do I think Hillary is "qualified" to talk about the presidency? Sure, but that doesn't make her presidential material.

If your wife ran a record label out of your home, if you had no other job than to help her with that...if you traveled the world with her schmoozing other label bosses & spent most of your adult life centered on supporting your wife in her venture, I would actually say that does give you qualifications over some newb.

To a certain extent, but to act like her ability reflects his is faulty, no? However, she's not running against some "newb." He has actually held more political offices and has run more staffs than she has. Again, I'm not saying he's more experienced than her. It's just faulty logic all around.

I think you're looking at it all too 'officially' actually. I think she was a huge contributor to Bill's whole time in office, and for that not to count just has me scratchin my head.

Obama is all puff no substance. I cannot believe he's caught on the way he has. I think that reflects more of an anti-woman angle than anything else.

The Dems dropped the ball imo because it's now two minorities to choose from....if they wanted a stronger chance, they shoulda went with someone else. I know I'll get flamed for this, but that's the way I see it. There was a huge shot for a Dem POTUS with a Dem Congress....and I think the door is left wiiiiiiide open for the Repubs to storm it because of who the other options are.

And really, after 8 years of hearin anti-GWB #######, this COULD have been a cakewalk for the Dems. But I don't think it's gonna be that easy...for either of em.

Wow, I think that's what I love the most about my party! We are much more willing to judge a man or woman on their character and not their gender or color! We were the first party that nominated a Catholic man for the Oval office and guess what...he won!

Look at poor Mitt Romney...just because he's Mormon ya'll threw him out with the Baby's bath water! Ya'll can stay in the 18th century with your party's 'Protestant White Male' only need apply attitudes...but we are moving forward into the 21st Century!

Hillary's been hanging her hat on the self proclaimed pseudo experience she supposedly aquired by living vicariously through Bill. That's the point they've been trying to shove up our arses for the last year or so......
