Hi all,

I am sure this has been asked ad nauseum but I couldn't really find similar topics for VSC... Being within the first month of our application (just the NOA1 and a whole lot of 'touches') would it be prudent to apply for Police clearance certificates already? I would need the same from three different countries (NL, DE, IN) and running around after the Packet 3 has arrived (if all goes well), would perhaps just take more time. How long are these certificates valid (from DE, NL?) and would the American Consulate accept those dated around 3-4 months before the date of the interview?

Cheers.

Don't even bother trying, the consulate will get them for you in the case of The Netherlands.

Police Records

Available. Police records can only be requested for immigrant visa applicants by the United States Consulate or Embassy where the applicant's case is being processed. Any certificate presented directly by applicants cannot be accepted.
