You may wish to remember that most of us that are almost at the end of this visa journey have been where you are right now.... we all had to learn patience and yes some find it easier than others..... but to call a number that is not a general enquiry number and then be angry because they dont help you is just silly..... the number is there for people who have received a RFE not for everyone to use to chase up their case as and when they feel the need....

Sure if you feel your case is taking too long write to everyone you can think of.... make an infopass appointment at your local office and talk to a immigration officer about it.... but dont use a dedicated line as a general info line and then complain when it does not get you what you want....

Kez

My post seems to have turned us VJ'ers against each other. That's sad...

To Kez, and everyone else who is critical on this thread: Please remember that I posted this thread NOT to get angry that calling the RFE line got me no where, but to complain that a CSC representative LIED TO ME about my app being on HOLD (reread the original post if you need to). You can say what you want about my use of the RFE line (and by the way it won't change the fact that when I call again I WILL USE THE RFE LINE), but PAH-leeeze don't tell me you defend the actions of Becky?? THAT is what this post was about, folks. You've taken it in the wrong direction. I didn't say, "Gee, I'm really upset that I'm not getting my way down there at the CSC." I didn't even post to complain that I have to be patient. I merely posted about the LIE, and about the rude treatment I got from Becky. You have taken this into areas that I did not mean for it to go.

As a representative of 1) USCIS, 2) our gov't, and 3) us (you and me petitioners), no CSC officer should stoop to that level. That's the bottom line on this post for me.

I have an image of kids sitting in the back of a car, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

Does asking every single day help? Guess when you're there yet? Patience, patience. We will all get there. :)

My child hate this word " WAIT "

Ballad Of Jed Clampett

Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed

Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed

Then one day he was shooting for some food,

And up through the ground come a bubbling crude

(Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea)

Well the first thing you know old Jed's a millionaire

Kin folk said Jed move away from there

Said California is the place you oughta be

So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly

(Hills that is, swimming pools, movie stars)

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Jed and all his kin

They would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in

You're all invited back again to this locality

To have a heaping helping of their hospitality

(Beverly Hillbillies, that's what they call 'em now,

Nice folks Y'all come back now, ya hear?)

To bad we got no Jeds up thar

Even Granny would fix ya some chitlins

No lies, no bull know thats hospitality.

I agree with you in some points Firstenburg...I also was calling, but after last week, I decide to take a different route...You know what helped me was writing letters to people in the Govt., and try to get my points out to those people.... I been married to my spouse for almost 2 years, submitted my petition in November 2006 (way beyond your dates and I am still waiting)... I know it can be hard to be without your love and wanting to start a life together... But my patience level has gone beyond normal and now I am just praying that someone that I wrote a letter to will help!! I wish you luck and tons of Patience on your Journey.

Going to bump the thread a bit but what has been the outcome on your senator or congress persons assistance on this wait time - I understand the tension in the region where your SO is, but NOVEMBER 2006???

Hi Susie

Thank you for caring  well I called both my senators and they advice i would have to wait a couple of weeks to get a case worker assigned, so I will wait until next week to call them. And my congressman office, they also said I had to wait the 45 days that they first advice me on (which Feb. 18 will be the 45 days) and to call them back again for them to do additional inquiry on my behalf. But today I wrote a letter to Emilio T. Gonzalez, the Director of USCIS. And every day i will look for another person to write too until someone does something!!! I have written to the First lady, VP Cheney, CIS Ombudsman (twice - first time I think I filled out the form wrong  ) both my senators, and my congressman....

I am also praying a lot!!!!

(F) Big hug for you for listening!!

There are some people who'd rather wait and see how things will happen, some people make things happen.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Have you ever thought that if you call every day then all you are doing is making them spend more time on the phone thn processing applications..... the outcome could end up being that the RFE phoneline is abandoned as other have been in the past... because some people abuse the line and call every day!!!!!

Oh well...

Kez

The people who answer the phones in customer service do not touch the cases. They basically just read the status off the computer screen after you give them your case number.

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well, they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit, nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !

June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again, still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm

just called the RFE line and the very rude lady there told me I call too much and I can only call every 30 days. She said that she would not check my account for me and even if she did there won't be any work done on it because after it is assigned to an officer that it will still take 30 days to hear anything !!!!!

Does anyone in USCIS know what they are doing ????????

No.But you should keep calling until you get a sensible answer.

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received

June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well, they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit, nor Manuel's interview

I think I-130-spousal visa it takes time than Fiancee visa I-129F. Perhaps, I'm wrong about these.

we didn't say you're lying.. just be patients. We were like you too.. Waiting..waiting..waiting but my husband didn't wearing his mind out instead just booked a flights to see me then back to a life of waiting again till we got approved  .

Oh well, those of us who cannot afford to travel back and forth as frequently would like the USCIS to hurry up.At least process the cases within the normal processing times and not lie to people when questioned about them taking so long.
