Here is my AOS cover letter:

Nature of the submission: I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

To Whom It May Concern:

Enclosed please find Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status,

Form I-864 Affidavit of Support, Form I-131 Application for Travel Document,

Form I-765 Application for Employment Authorization and all supporting documents,

My eligibility is based on admission as the fiancé of a U.S. citizen

and subsequent marriage to that citizen within 90 days of entry.

1. I-485 Application to Adjust Status for Martin David Mota Castillo with:

- Check: Payment in the amount of $1010 (Biometrics fee included)

- Two (2) passport-style photos of Martin David Mota Castillo

- Copy of Martin Mota’s birth certificate in English and Spanish

- Copy of Martin Mota’s Passport (including biographical page, K-1 Visa)

- Copy of form I-94 (front and back)

- Copy of NOA2 from I-129F

- Certified copy of Marriage Certificate

- Copy of the lease to our house

- Copy of Joint Bank Account

- Copy of Martin Mota’s Georgia’s state drivers license

- Copy of Social Security card

2. G-325A Biographic Information for Martin David Mota Castillo.

3. I-693A vaccination supplement to the I-693 in sealed envelope for Martin David Mota Castillo.

4. I-864 Affidavit of Support filed by Amber Nicole Drummond with:

- Copy of Amber Drummond’s birth certificate

- Federal income tax return, including W-2’s for the years 2005, 2006, 2007

- Letter from Amber Drummond’s employer

- Copy of checking account balance

- Copy of Doug Drummond’s birth certificate

- Federal income tax return, including W-2’s for the years 2005, 2006, 2007

5. I-765 Application for Employment Authorization for Martin David Mota Castillo with:

- Two (2) passport-style photos of Martin David Mota Castillo

- Copy of his Passport (including biographical page, K-1 Visa)

- Copy of form I-94 (front and back)

6. I-131 Application for Travel Documentation

- Two (2) passport-style photos of Martin David Mota Castillo

- Copy of his Passport (including biographical page, K-1 Visa)

- Copy of form I-94 (front and back)

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and I understand that I may be required to submit original documents to an Immigration officer at a later date.

I will have my passport like pictures in a zip lock bag stapled to a piece of paper, 2 each behind the I-485, I-131, and I-765.

I just want to know, where should i put the check, should i put it in an envelope? How did you all do this?

How did everyone organize their packet, did you use an ACCO clip? folder? or did you just stick all of the papers loosely in the big envelope?

Tell me if this is also correct for filing the I-485 for our K-1, i am also located in GA:

Write the check to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security"

Yep. Goto your post office and mail it to Chicago address. If you are using UPS or FedEx, you need to use a different mailing address..

Your checklist looks good but couple of things(IMO), you don't need to include copy of social security card, driver's license, leasing information...its ok to include them but not necessary.

Also, make sure you are including 4 pages of G-325A and write your name and A# on the back of your photos.

i was told that you will need 2 passport like pictures for the following forms:

I-485

I-765

I-131

so i am placing 2 photos behind each form, followed by his passport information, ect...

Why not send 6 just to be sure? They ask for 2 for AOS, 2 for EAD and 2 for AP. That definitely equals 6.

06/01/2007 - EAD card production e-mail received (74 days)

07/27/2007 - EAD RECEIVED (57 days after approval)

11/29/2007 - Infopass appointment - file was sent to a storage facility before it was finished processing.

05/28/2008 - Received AOS Interview notice

07/10/2008 - AOS Interview-APPROVED pending fingerprints

09/22/2008 - GREEN CARD IN HAND!

Removing Conditions

06/04/2010 - Sent I-751

06/07/2010 - NOA1

06/09/2010 - Check cashed

07/22/2010 - Biometrics Appointment

09/08/2010 - Card production e-mail

Will you be including pictures as well? Wedding photo ie.

no i am not, it is not really necessary right now, but its probably upto you if u really want to send some wedding photos, but u can go ahead and file ur aos package w/o wedding photos and later on when they call u up for an interview, u can bring them along
