How long does it take to get a reciept number?

So Im somwat new to this but not completley new to visa processing as I have had a visa returned due to an error made but i was currious if anyone could tell me how long it took for there reciept number to come after the I 130 form was sent into the visa center. Any help is greatley appreciated.

it used to take a week

nowadays, ever since the fee increase, you should't be surprised if it takes them over 2 months to send you a NOA1 for your I-130

I-130

08/aug/2007 - I-130 Packet sent to NSC

09/aug/2007 - I-130 Packet received

19/sep/2007 - NOA1 receipt date

25/sep/2007 - NOA1 arrived

23/apr/2008 - APPROVED

Timeline estimated adjudication on March 4, 2008. It was adjudicated on April 23.

Our I-130 was approved in 258 days.

I-129F

09/oct/2007 - I-129F Packet sent to CSC

10/oct/2007 - I-129F Packet received

12/oct/2007 - NOA1 receipt date

20/oct/2007 - NOA1 received

23/apr/2008 - APPROVED

Timeline estimated adjudication on April 4, 2008. It was adjudicated on April 23.

Our I-129f was approved in 197 days.

NVC

08/may/2008 - replied to my e-mail sent on april 30, saying that our petition has been sent to the consulate.

Consulate

20/JUN/2008 - Interview - APPROVED!!!

AOS

18/mar/2009 - Packet delivered

24/mar/2009 - NOA for AOS and EAD date

25/mar/2009 - Check cashed

15/apr/2009 - Biometrics done

22/may/2009 - EAD approved

well, i checked my bank today and my check has finally cleared. i check daily...

anyway, i expect my receipt notice soon. it has been exactly 104 days since they received my app and my check was cashed

Wow, mine just cleared today, 1 month after it was delivered.

I wasn't expecting it so soon - hope the NOA1 will be here soon.

You should send your I-130 to the Chicago lockbox and not the processing center. You might be receiving your NOA1 within a month or so. Ours took about a month to get our check cleared.

10/22/08- Visa in hand!

10/31/08- POE- Seattle, WA

11/12/08- Received SSN in mail!

11/20/08- Got my WA driving license!

08/03/10- I-751 sent

08/09/10- NOA

08/24/10- Biometrics

10/28/10- Case approved
