i was just telling my grandparents this morning about amy winehouse

how shes a waste of life, and people are just eating it up

the main thing with marketing is knowing your market, and cause its become super cool to be 16 and pregnant, or a drug addict i guess the grammys nailed it by giving all those awards to the biggest crackie they could find.

I am sure if bjork was a public drunk/addict, everyone would be raving about her new album too, but b/c she isnt it just leaves people who dont fit the mass mold and have original oppinions to defend her music.

This is not something new.

Her being a junkie is QUITE relevant to the marketing of her in America. They didn't start to market her here until she became tabloid fodder. Now she's suddenly important in the industry. So her being a junkie did indeed help her win Grammies.
