Police Clearance?

I just joined VJ. I have a question relevent to this topic. My fiancee has lived and worked in two other countries besides her home coufntry of Philippines. She is currently in Hong Kong, and based on what I read should have no difficulty getting police clearance from there. However, she did spend a year in Singapore but that was over 7 years ago so is not listed on the G 325a form. Will she still need a police clerance from Singapore??Also...what is NBI?

If she was over 16 years of age when she was in Singapore, then YES, it is required. In Singapore a Police Clearance is called a CNCC (Certificate of No Criminal Conviction). Here is the link with more info and form/instructions for requesting, It took about 5 weeks for ours to come.

Dear Samby,

I am looking at the Singapore site...thanks for the link... but I am unsure of one thing. What can I provide as proof that US immigration needs a copy of the CNCC? I have the first notice of action....can I combine that with a quote from the regulations stating that she is required to get that for the fiancee visa? What did you use. I am just hoping to take care of this sooner rather than later so we can make sure we avoid any problems when she has her interview... Thanx in advance!!!
