kaydee - the market has already tanked!

Well, not to the extent when a Democratic congress and a Democratic president starts hacking away at capital gains, as they've (the democrat candidates) indicated many a time that they're in favor of.......The fact is that the market’s still up by more than 20% over the past five years. The Asian markets by nearly 30~35%. They’re temporarily depressed at this time but should recover. They’ve only given up the gains of last year.

Wall street, and in case you haven't noticed that the rest of the world, the European markets and Asian markets, that still follow Wall street's lead, will take a dive if the Democrats take over.

Fancy. I do have fear of his politics, as well as his naivete. He still peppers his speeches with crazy notions of sitting down with this nations enemies.

You know, the popular and unrealistic notion that Obama and Iran's Mamoud are going to sit around a fire and sing Kumbaya...... naive.......

I guess we should just put everyone in the State Department on hiatus if the great, and wonderful speech maker Obama, is President.

At least Hillary’s got one up on him concerning “experience”, although her “experience” is by proxy, sort of a "pseudo" experience have aquired it by living vicariously through Billy boy.

You put way too much weight on experience and considering that you voted Dubbydumbass into office twice, I think you're over exaggerating your fears. Obama could have both his hands tied behind his back and be blindfolded and still do a better job than what Bush has done. You can thank the deregulated policies for what has happened to our economy.

Um, GW was the govenor of the second largest state in the Union.....He's not a second term Senator, who by the way hasn't done anything for Illinois as Senator from Illinois other than to use his office as springboard to run for president.

But I digress. By your assertion I suppose it would be okay with you to take a first year medical student and elevate him to chief surgeon at the Hospital whereby you're going under the knife just prior to heart surgery?

We don't need anyone any more experience, do we? Afterall, he sounds like a learned medical man, so let's give him the position, right.

How about appointing an U.S. Navy Ensign the position of Secretary of the Navy. He looks hot in his uniform and gives nice, inspirational speeches.....He has lots of Hollywood endorcements too!

You get the point!

I would if your analogies were apples to apples. As usual they aren't.

Market averages don't mean ####.

Stock prices have gone up just like milk and gas. Means nothing.

The equity markets have outstripped inflation.

Well at least there's SOME ray of sunshine out there..............

Apples to apples is simply a matter of perspective. The anology is certainly relevant. What makes this instance worrisome is this fellow is pretty much unknown, and has little tangible experience whatsoever!

Here's an exchange between President Bush and Chris Wallace I'm watching at this moment......Although President Bush honestly remarked that Hillary has the necessary perspective and possibly the experience to realistically deal with "real world" issues, this is what he said about my Senator, the Illinois deadbeat Senator:

Chris Wallace: “Do you think there’s a rush to judgement about Barrack Obama given voters know enough about himâ€

President Bush: “ I certainly don’t know what he believes in.. The only foreign policy thing I remember he said was that he was going to attack Pakistan and embrace AHMADINEJAD.

Chris Wallace: So you don’t think we know enough about him?

President Bush: It doesn’t seem like it….

Chris Wallace: So why do you think he’s gotten so far?

President Bush: (laughter), I don’t know, you’re the pundit!

It's still as high as 30%? Wow.

I think Bush has been pretty dang quiet the last few months, really, I don't even think he's mad. I just think he's just...checked out of office early basically, which is not a good thing. The administration used to get all scruffy and say 'history will tell!' and all that stuff and they haven't even been doing that lately.

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

December 18th, 2007 - proposal in Madrid's Botanical Gardens with a duck standing behind him going 'food?'

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

February 29th, 2008 - NVC letter sent

OMG. Why would I or anyone else care what George Bush thinks about Obama? Or any other candidate for that matter?

The guy's a short-timer with a bad attitude. He's just pissed because his approval rating is at an all-time low of 30%.

Good argument! So it's just sour grapes? How shallow, rebeccajo.......I give my President more than the benefit of the doubt and I certainly respect his opinions. Say what you want but this man's not at the level whereby he'd be driven by shallowness......

So I know you're old enough to remember how hated Nancy and Ronald were in their time....I don't see anything different here.

As for the economy: you think it's "bad"? Bad is 21% Mortgage interest, and 14% inflation.....This isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination!

That's why I think that the "rebates" are a colossal waste of money.....

:thumbs: Kudos, Kaydee, for having the audacity to say that Dubbya was more than qualified as a two-term president. I don't know what you're drinking, but if I want to start hallucinating, I'll give you a call. Edited by Mister Fancypants

Kaydee, he's our President, but I didn't vote for the son of a ######. Neither time. There was only one time I was more disgusted by him than on either of his inauguration days, and that was on September 11, 2001. The look on his face in that classroom as it was whispered into his ear what had just happened is something I will never forget. He looked like was about to pee his pants.

Just like I will never forget 21 percent mortgage interest, CD's paying 16%, and unemployment extensions that lasted a 52 weeks. I got laid off during that nonsense. And as I recall that was a Republican presidency as well.

At least Ronald Reagan was an honourable guy. George Bush is a whining cry-baby who was lucky to make it to the White House. He's a sorry example for the good family name his father (also a decent man) had built.

George Bush was in West Virginia several times during his last campaign run. Two or three times to my town. I never went. He drove down the street in front of my office one day. It was not worth it to me to step outside to see the motorcade pass.

Note the lack of Republicans rushing to get an endorsement. It has nothing to do with sour grapes --- the guy's electoral poison at this point.

Hillarys' experience is the same as Obamas....she has NOT been president. There fore to me, the experience ratio is one and the same. Just cause she was married to a president doesnt mean that she herself has presidential experience. people are so afraid of change its ridiculous. You expect different results by taking the same actions...thats just plain dumb. Yes Obama is a wonderful "speech maker", but thats because of the depth sincerety and intelligence of what he says...who wouldn't admire that?

Please tell me, what it is specifically about Obama that you don't agree with.
