Isn't it funny that Barack can remember his white grandmother saying racially charged things that "made him cringe" but for the 20+ years he has attended Jeramiah Wright's chruch he hasn't heard Wright say anything extreme? He was completely unaware of the radical/racist/outrageous/hateful messages that his own pastor preached? Obama is either lying to us or he is really stupid.

Regardless - the black community tends to favor democrats, more specifically so does the black church community. If this is a problem for Obama - rhetoric that isn't exclusive to Jeremiah Wright but to a pretty big movement in black churches - then shouldn't we also be asking why Republicans have been all too happy to accept endorsements by (and pander towards) bible belt white christians (part of their perennial base). Is this really all that different?
