Yeah, I like this thread too. Much better than the fitness challenge  What happened to that by the way. I know I'd much rather talk about random daily stuff than the torture that is exercise!

LOL, the fitness challenge thread was too much pressure for me :lol::lol: I do go work out on a regular basis every about 5 times a week. We should call the the Seinfeld Thread...its about nothing and everything

I'm really enjoying these daily "whatcha doing" threads too!

As for the dance workshop in August, Catherine... hmmmmmmm - didn't know abt it, but it will depend on finances!! Also, I'm hosting Hadia for a teacher training in BR late October - have got to get a hotel for part of it!!!! Getting ####### in gear!!! Holy mackeral... it's coming quick!

Hmmmmm.... I love Nagwa Fouad... I'll have to look into that! You going? If I come, maybe we can hook up for some VJ time!!! Perhaps I could actually meet Ahmed too! Woooo hooooo!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Speaking of unpacked shirts. Mohammed sent is favorite shirt back with me. I keep it plastic and take it out for a hug when I need. It still smells like him. Thank God for it or I would shrivel up and blow away.

Two responses at once now . . .

Noura,

I am going to the workshop in August . . . I am supposed to dance BUT that depends on certain things like work, what music, blah, blah, Ahmed (let's not go there right now) . . . I have a costume that I brought back from Egypt that I can wear, LOL. I wanted to go to Hadia's teacher training in Canada (I did her basic one a couple of years ago) but it coincides with Cairo Nights. I told her I couldn't come and she knows exactly what I am talking about in trying to keep the political dance c*** straight. I know you are just doing the first level, but maybe I'll come to N.O. (or is it in Baton Rouge?) anyway . . . i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hadia!!

Jean and Noura, I took something with me to Egypt specifically so it would smell like Ahmed when i came home (it was a stuffed lion, lol, since he is a Leo) . . . sadly, the smell does wear off.

Actually ALL, I am enjoying the daily threads . . . I get to learn more about what everyone does for a living, for fun . . . Shokran for participating in my insanity!!

:lol::lol::lol:

Good Morning Ladies!!! I have to agree with Jackie and Noura, I love this thread....way to go Catherine!

So I get in the office today, I have a huge pile of mail on my desk from the USPTO (Patent office) and I think damn this day is gonna suck. Until 5 minutes later when the receptionist calls me and says flowers were delivered for me. :D

So I guess this goes in hand with Admin's day, my boss sent me some nice flowers. I'm not a secretary, but hey I will take them!!!

I think the rest of the day will suck...we have a meeting to find out if we got our quarterly bonus (doubt it, we just had lay-offs) so that won't be fun.

I can't wait to get home and talk to my habiby  I'm so bored with this routine. Wake up..work...work...work..gym..online with my hunny....sleep. I can't wait until he is here!!! (F)

Speaking of unpacked shirts. Mohammed sent is favorite shirt back with me. I keep it plastic and take it out for a hug when I need. It still smells like him. Thank God for it or I would shrivel up and blow away.

OMG! I have been buggin my man to do this for the last year!!!! He keeps saying no because he said he feels weird sending me a shirt  Then he said he would buy a new one and send it to me  LOL, I keep telling him the whole point is that it should smell like him!!!!:lol::lol::lol: Lucky girl!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I had to trade for mine though. He was crazy about the smell of my hair spray. He said that was the one thing that reminded him so much of the first moment we were ever close. (Dreadfully romantic, eh? Loreal Mega Spritz. Cheaper then perfume I guess.) So I left that with him. He used to spray it in his pillow. We're kinda gross I guess. LOL

ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER AND THE MIND GROW NUTTIER!!!! :hehe:

That's why I keep it in a plastic bag and only take it out for "emergencies". Yes, I have been known to be a bit ####### retentive. LOL

Forgot to mention . . I was sleeping with the silly lion . . . I even took a pic of one of my cats with the lion which I used on messenger for awhile,

I guess my man is just not sentimental :( I have this burberry blanket that I would wrap around my shoulders when I would talk to him online. He hated it! So when I went to Jordan, I brought it with me wiht the intention of carrying it so he would be able to spot me in the airport. Well I didn't end up needing it because my bags got lost and I was the last one out of the ternminal and he was right there waiting.

I tried to leave the blanket there for him, but he was like..um noo honey you keep it. I guess he really didn't like it  I still want my shirt, I'm gonna bug him some more now :D

Hehehe. When we were still in our online format, I asked Tamer to send me a shirt to sleep in at night. He said yes after much prodding (he also thought it was a weird request) and I was all excited when I got the package. But, when I opened it, inside was a button down dress shirt. I was like  So, I wore it occasionally when we talked, but never to sleep.

When he got here, I was cleaning out the closet to make room for his stuff. I had a couple of men's button down shirts that I wore a few years back that were in the goodwill pile, and I offered them to him before I sent the stuff away to charity. He took them, and they're now his night shirts  My husband is a weird one, but I love him anyways :luv:

Whew, I'm finally moved into my new office and loving it! I now have my 7 file cabinets in the same room as me and this office is huge! I share it with a temp who is only here two days a week, so basically I have it to myself. She's great to work with, so I'll enjoy it when she's here too.

It has been nice the past few days being able to tell people I'm too busy moving to do anything, but that hasn't kept the work from piling up. Now I'm just farther behind.

We went to lunch today and our admin picked up the tab. We teased her that we thought this would be a great tradition each year. Actually, we're taking her to lunch tomorrow, and having a basket delivered then too. We couldn't do it today because we had no idea where to have it delivered. Our computers and phones got moved early today, but my file cabinets got here after 4:30 and our boxes won't arrive until tomorrow.

I need to hurry up and finish reading the posts and get my butt to class. This is the study session before the final so I don't want to miss anything.

Aww that's sweet. Whenever Maj isn't home for the night, I sleep on his side of the bed, it smells like him. It sounds kind of weird really, but it must go to some primal instinct we have.

Oh, look . . . it is almost 6:30pm and I am just getting ready to leave work. Have a meeting to go to a 7pm then probably home by 9pm . . . that's my excuse for missing the work meeting tonight,:lol: .

I have a major pain on my left side from sitting at this computer all day . . . the project stress is building . . . also, I have to share a cube with another team member when I come out to the office so I get in a really cramped position . . . don't want anyone to notice when i goof off on-line!!:lol::lol:
