But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

what a nice change. This man has the intellect to counter the stupid questions asked everyday by so called reporters who generally are no better than papperozzies (sp??), and continually hammer away with the same stupid question, and generally bog down the process of getting out the news.

I thin they should just abolish the job the way that it been been done the past few yers. Might as well as get the same ppl they that drove Princess Diana to her death.

 Right on!! The liberal media is the worst it's ever been. All they want to do is bring down Bush and they don't care if they destroy the country in the proccess. IMO most of them are tratiors.

Jesus...

The US media, which are primarily owned and operated by large multi-national media conglomerates has a lot more wrong with it than mere political bias. If I were you I'd be more worried about shitty reporting standards, not the political stance of any particular publication or journalist.

In any case, I fail to see how criticising the actions of the administration constitutes 'treason'. As stale as US politics is right now, there needs to be some kind of opposition to government. Someone needs to stand up to the administration, the Democrats sure as hell aren't doing a very good job.

That said, the media these days is far less critical of government policy than it has been in the past, and far less critical than perhaps it should be. Stories which would make for a scandalous news in Europe barely raises an eyebrow here. Downing Street memo anyone - proof that Bush had a premeditated plan to invade Iraq, NOT as a last resort. That story barely got coverage in the US.

Similarly why is it that interviews with the president, and other politicians are heavily sanitised - usually by the influence of that person's press office staff who give strict guidelines about what questions can be asked and which topics can be covered.

President Bush wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell if he were put in front of a live studio audience with an interviewer like say, the BBC's Jeremy Paxman. The key difference between UK and US politicians, for instance, is not that they are necessarily any more ethical or honest, but in the UK those people who are in front-line politics actually know what they are talking about (more or less), because the media simply won't allow them to trot out stale party-political soundbites.

What liberal media- Francis Fukuyama? William F. Buckley? Gearoge Will? Patrick Buchanan? The Heritage Foundation claiming government spending was out of control?

Some of the strongest criticism of this administration has not been from the so-called "liberal media"

Unfortunately what seems to happen is that ANYONE who criticises the administration gets called a liberal - hence the misconception. The term 'liberal' has lost its meaning in the US and become a catch-all negative label for anyone who occupies a political position that differs from the republican majority, whether they are actually liberal or not.

The day that George Will is a labeled a liberal is the day that the Bush administration's doublethink is exposed as REALLY deeply entrenched.

I just find it amazing that there are people out there who sincerely believe that the majority of the US' problems are caused by the media and some sort of conspiracy 'leftist' sandal-wearing college professors.

I'm actually kind of amazed they haven't been blamed for the insurgency in Iraq (of course, if you watch network news, you barely know it's happening)

Well they're already being blamed for 'giving hope to 'our enemies', the best I've heard it referred to is 'well meaning irresponsibility'. Sure those people who are making america less secure are the ones who have least

political power and least representation in government. Makes perfect sense

Bugs me how easily people swallow this bullshit. Lets not hold the government accountable for its misdeeds - lets blame the people who are calling for that same accountability.

It IS doublethink - in the worst Orwellian sense!

I'm trying to think of a conservative voice that isn't some partisan blowhard that hasn't been uncritical of the Bush administration -- maybe Charles Krauthammer

He's one of the Neocon boneheads that got us in the mess we are in Iraq and is beating the drum for screwing with Iran. He's Oreo cookie conservative. Conservative on the outside liberal on the inside.

Aehm, sorry to ask, but since when is the media of any kind not allowed to criticize the president when he messes up? The only places in the world were the media is not picking on politicians are non-democratic societies, and everything has be phrased to make the national leader appear in a good light.

And, what exactly do you mean by liberal media; it seems to me most news station are treading the GOP-party line pretty well.

There is nothing wrong with honest criticizem. But that isn't the function of the news. The function of the news is to report what happend without injecting their opinion into it. That is called comentary and it has it's place also. But when you give comentary and call it news that is just wrong.

Newspapers, MSNBC, CNN (Clinton News Network) and the network news are all just mouthpieces of the DNC.

Uh then what do you say about Faux news :bonk::hehe::reading::alien:
