Hi,

I filed a 1-129F Petiton for my fiance on Feb 28, 2008 and the paperwork came back because I failed to check the criminal history box (which I still am shock about because I poured over the paperwork again and again before sending it). Now, just to be clear, I wasn't trying to hide anything--my fiance and I don't have any criminial history--I don't even have a speeding ticket to my name. So i sent back the paperwork corrected.

The next touch was April 29, 2008 saying Vermont Service Center received the paperwork and that I should expect a written decision within 60 days. I understand that's well within the overall 6 month processing times allotted.

Well, 60 days has passed and when I called the Customer Service, they said they'd request for a status from the service center but center has at least 30 days to respond to that request for status.

I haven't heard anything back yet and I'm just curious as I've seen some of these quick TAT on the timelines, how much did I set my paperwork back when I needed to resend it with a revision? Does it just get tucked back beneath the pile or should I be worried that I have some serious issues with whatever the service center does on this initial approval round? I can't fathom what those issues might be but I'm becoming more and more dismayed with the whole process (and I know from reading this forum, I'm not the only frustrated person so I do have perspective). Nevetheless, it's just really tiring....

Congratulations to everyone else, and good luck to those who aren't done yet.

It is similar sound to "richness" in chinese, I believe.

It seems normal for Seattle, WA.

According to http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=25258 ,

Seattle, WA DO will take average 9.8 months from N400 application date to initial interview date.

Above estimate was released by USCIS around April, 2008 for forecasting processing time by Sep, 2008.

There are some agents slower than oters, don't worry and don't think on it too much, you will receive it soon.
