Does anyone know the origin of the K1 and K3 VISA? What was the original reason for these VISA types? Did this come out of WWII? When did it start?

Unfortunately, I don't know, so I can't answer that. However, I do know that when importing your foreign dog into the U.S., you are required to fill out the K9 VISA application. B)

the k-1 was named for the first petioner, k. smith, who met a woman in britain. he subsequently divorced and married an american woman, whom he divorced also. upon his 3rd marriage, again to a brit, he then petitioned to bring his new wife to the states, hence the k-3.
