Hi!

I'm a new member in this forum!

I've found this forum really helpful and interesting. Thanks everybody who help the others in this forum.

I've applied for green card through a family member (my mother) about 8 years ago .Then I entered US with H1B 100 days ago (3.5 months). Now my visa number is current.Do you think is this a proper time for me to perform adjustment of status or is it early? and if I adjust now and quit my current job , is there any possibility of adjustment of status rejection in the interview time?

Actually I'm in a situation that I can't go back to my home country , so I want to be assured that the adjustment of status won't be rejected at interview time.Thank you very much for your response and your suggestions.

Regards

What happened with the application your mother filed for you, are you still waiting for it to be approved?

The normal process if she filed for you, would be to get your medical & interview done in your home country and then come here. But since you are here on a work VISA, its seems you complicated it up. On what basis do you want to file your adjustment of status?

I got my I-130 NOA approval about 4 years ago , and I was waiting for final visa processing while 8 months ago I found a job in US , so I applied for H1B and I came here 3.5 month ago(at that time my visa number was not current & my immigrant visa status was pending). Now I want to do AOS based on family petitioner(my mother). Is this possible or not. And is this an appropriate time??and also what do you mean by you've complicated it up??
