Hi, I don't want to waste any body's time by asking this question but I'm not sure what to wear for the up-coming interview.

Did you wear formal like business-meeting type of clothing or casual?

If you ever went to the interview in Garden City, NY, please tell me how was it like.

Thanks!

I don't think it matters, but I went to the NYC office for my interview, and saw every type of dress under the sun. Traditional wear of many different cultures, as well as business and business casual. If you are normally very casual in what you wear, you may want to take it up a notch and pretend like you were going to a job interview. I am a very casual drsser myself, and I decided to dress as though I were going to a job interview, and it helped in that I felt put together. But I did see people in jeans. Most improtant is to bring everything they recommend to bring on the interview letter. EVERYTHING. My best of luck to you!

A sweet question.

The only thing I am certain of is this:

do not wear medallions around your neck of MJ leaves or skulls...hahaha.

All jewelery: understated.

All clothes: clean and neat.

The person: groomed and relaxed.

That's about it.

Good luck over there.

What you wear is not as important as making sure you have all the required documents.

You will certainly not be denied because of your dress. We wore jeans and so did most people there on that day.

It should not matter. You are being judged on your desire to adjust status, not walk the red carpet! Wear what is comfortable.

I would treat the interview like a job interview and dress accordingly, not a suit but definitely dress pants and a nice shirt. People judge you based on your appearance every day and first impressions are very important.

Being comfortable is also very important so I'd say dress up according to your "comfort" level. :)
