Well I have good news! My I-130 got approved on 7 Feb 2008. I am so happy!

But listen to this. As I was leaving Los Angeles yesterday at about noon time I decided to call the CSC and see what the status of my case was. Here is the converstion.

CSC: (sounding like a 4th grader watching the Bloomberg Report) Good morning, may I have your case number please?

Mateo: Good Morning, WACxxxxxxxxx

CSC: May I have your name?

Mateo: M....

CSC: Date of birth?

Mateo: xx/xx/xx

CSC: Last four of your social security number?

Mateo: xxxx

CSC: (monotone and with the wheeze of obesity) How may I help you?

Mateo: I was calling because I am concerned about my case. My receipt date is 25 July and its nearing 200 days and I have not heard anything yet.

CSC: We are (pause to read) working on July 25th (must have been a Freudian slip), no July 15th rignt now. You should check back in a month.

Mateo: Can you tell me if my case has been assigned to an adjudicator?

CSC: No your case will only get assigned when they are working on your date range.

Mateo: Ok thanks I will be patient and call back in a few weeks.

CSC: Is there anything else I can help you with?

Mateo: No, thank you for your assistance.

CLICK

So I get home and I checked the USCIS page and it shows an update on the case to 02/07/2008. I figured it was from the RFE trick. No change in case status.

This morning in my email I got an email from CSC stating the case was approved. Go figure, I can only imagine that the people that answer the phone have no real clue as to what it going on. I guess it is completely useless to use the RFE trick as you just hit a wall either way you go. If she had any information she would have known that my case was going to be look at that day. And no I don't believe that the call had anything to do with them approving the case that day, it was mere coincidence.

Anywhooooooooooo

YEAH APPROVAL!!!

As the Brasilianos say

Vamos Bebemorar!!!

I know its Brasileiros, but isn't that a profession describing a Portuguese who was going to Brazil to exploit the riches from the colony and cares nothing about its culture or well being? Its time to change the name from a profession of exploitation to a name of a people, like Italianos, Americanos, Mexicanos...

Well I have good news! My I-130 got approved on 7 Feb 2008. I am so happy!

....

congrats

i called the RFE hotline for misinformation. the bloke said they are overworked etc... i remarked "really" he hung up.

as per the senators office response, the case has been assigned to an officer and as per this nutjob its not. I got angry at the ediot and lamented some profanity to self for calling up before the dates became current.

I guess wait for the next ediot to release the processing date for Feb 2008 and see if there is progress or still overwhelmed with applications.

i wish there was some way to get their stats on how many officers assigned and how many cases being worked per month. i think the ombudsman office needs to be given a leash - to whip some efficiency out of this USCIS RFE agents - probably not good at processing so staff him at the phone desk.

well i called up anticipating some miracle - i guess - i need to stop believing in astrology.

the bloke goees, i remember u called last week and ur case is still within the processing time, i said if on feb 15th u guys release ur processing dates and it has moved only one day say July 16th 2007 are u saying i haveto wait another month for ur freaking dates to be current while i see the gifted individuals around me approved while the fact is they filed 2 months later than me. he remarked sir it can happen we are overworked, at which i remarked "really? " and the moron hung up.

well i really dont use this kinda descriptors but i guess i really feel this process is worse than many of the so called west labeled "3rd world countries" developing nations , atleast in those parts u can pay(gifts) and get ur stuff done, have a result oriented process vs. dimwits working claimed 40 hrs and being paid tax payer money.
