I don't know if this is a right place to post  But after entering the U.S. with K3, what we have to file are I-485 Adjustment of Status and I-765 Application for Employment Authorization?? Is there anything else?

I have been reading the official website and papers recently, so I will not miss paper work I need to obtain in my country, but more I read, more confused I am  so complicated... Can someone give me some advice??

Thank you.

did you read the FAQ for the Adjusting status from K3?

You need to apply for EAD separately, to the Missouri service centre. That can be done asap. AOS can wait if you need to for money or whatever, as long as you send in the app before your K3 expires (most recommend before one year has passed since your medical exam so that you don't have to have another).

Once you have your EAD you can apply for your SSN.

AOS gets sent to your district office, and you need to include a note and copy of your I-130 NOA, so that they know the AOS is based on an already submitted petition.

Thank you for your reply. How come I have to apply for EAD separately? Some state you can apply for EAD with the petition for Adjustment of Status and some don't. What is the difference? I don't see the reason. I am confused

And about the medical exam, I was curious if I needed another one since the instruction states only about K1... I am glad I don't need another one. It can save a lot of money. Do I have to prove or state that I have taken a medical exam for K3 when I send the petition for Adjustment of Status?? One question was solved. Thank you :D
