Good Evening Everyone :) What kinds of things have people done or plan on doing to celebrate their first year anniversary?? Is there some kind of code of things you should do on what anniversary, my grandmother says there is and hints at it all the time and I don't really know if there is or not. Even so, I'd like some ideas, should it be a big one or should it be more low key or does it matter? My first year is coming up this summer and I want to start juggeling some ideas to see what I'm up against here and maybe hint some stuff his way. All ideas welcome..... so bring em in! :D

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I think that you should buy a cake and have it say something like "Happy 1yr anniversary"... We got something like that last yr for our first yr.. We were gonna do it at Sam's, but my husband said that walmart's cake is better, so we had it done there...It was a really gorgeous cake, i swear, for under $10!! They even put love birds on it, and rings!

Also go buy some nice decorations and plates, everything saying "1st anniversary:... ANd make sure to take pix!!! Get an empty anniversary card and write everything u want to say...My husband wrote somethng sweet to me..He said "Only 1yr, but hoping for 100 more!"

I know this all sounds mushy but i'm so glad we did this because then i'll have something to show my children some day, and even if we dont have children, it'll be something that me and my husband will remember..

Oh and if you haven't had ur interview yet, well, that'll just be extra evidence for u!

Oh and along with the cake, you should have a nice supper with candles ready

we did a couple of things: Jerry took me out to dinner, and gave me a gift certificate to my favourite used book store (first anniversary is paper, after all! ;) )

And in the spirit of doing fun things at our wedding / receptions, we held the First Annual Anniversary Spades Tournament, and invited a bunch of friends over to play cards and eat and jsut have fun. It was great. :)

for our first year Anniversary, we spent the weekend at the Bed and Breakfest where he proposed and where we later got married.... I cooked him dinner... we had a nice time :D

P.S. I just found out a few weeks ago that the people that run the Bed and Breakfest are selling thier house and moving... :crying: .... That was our special place... (L):crying: and now it will be gone.... the people who buy it might still keep it a Bed and Breakfest but the lady who runs it now was really nice...

I think my husband is going to be in New York on a gig that weekend, so I don't even know if I'll get to spend it with him :( Depends on if we can afford for me to tag along, I guess.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.
