Expire time of K1 and 90 day in country

The K-1 visa issued by the embassy is good for about 6 months. Once in the USA the marriage must take place within 90 days after arrival.

Can the 90 days extend past the end date of the K-1 visa? For instance my fiancee has a June 26th, 2008 K-1 visa. If she arrived June 25th, could she stay for 90 more days?

I tried to search here for a specific answer on this, but didn't find it. I'm probably not looking in the right place. Everything sort of implies that it can extend past the 6 months if the arrival is before 6 months. But maybe I am just wishful thinking.

I would like her to come in the warmer weather.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

Sep 16, 2008 -- AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

Apr 01, 2009 -- Conditional green card arrives.

Feb 19, 2011 -- Mailed I-751 Packet to lift conditions

Nov 11, 2011 -- Permanent GC rev'd in mail.

Apr 25, 2012 -- Mailed N-400 Naturalization

Aug 16, 2012 -- Citizenship Interview. Approved.

Sep 06, 2012 -- Citizenship Oath.

After it is issued, your fiancee has up to 6 months to use it. The 90 day period starts once the visa is activated (used) at the point of entry into the United States.

The answer to your question is yes. I personally wouldn't leave it so close to the expiry date, but that's jsut me.
