Those are *cute* problems. I don't think arguing over them counts as fighting. :luv:

Agreed... and maybe it's the term "fighting" that needs to be defined. Maybe those that said NO, think it means a huge blow-up where you don't speak to each other for "X" amount of time and so on and so forth. And maybe it does for some. We didn't have any of those, but enough along the lines of "oi, when are you going to send me the paperwork", grumpiness which would turn into snapping at each other (umm, more snapping from me to him... ...he rarely snaps )

Exactly. I must say I find it very hard to believe that there was not one cross feeling whatsoever....being a couple is hard work sometimes....add distance, lonliness, time zones, impatience, etc into the mix and I really can't see there not being one emotion of snappiness, grumpiness, etc...

I think also perhaps some ppl are being too literal about 'during your visa journey'...that doesn't mean necc bickering about the visa journey only....

But hey, I'm told I'm wrong, so that's fine....but it's kinda like the two headed alligator that you MUST pull over to see cos it simply doesn't sound natural ;)

A fun one to share.....

We have not argued throughout the process at all but mostly (only) because he is unnatural in the patience department. I recall one time I was super miffed at him. I totally could not understand why he did not so something he said he would do....

Until we discussed it a bit....and he clarifed. You told me not to....

I responded no I said, "bla bla bla" To which he replied, exactly Sam, is something lost in translation here? Turns out I said exactly that but the meaning as soooo different in English.

Which brings me to the point....isn't he supposed to read my mind????

Are all british men like that? I know Wes sure is.

Most of the USC wives I read claim the same thing.............

Yeah, I really DO think it's part of their Britishness, not liking confrontation. The ONLY time hubster snaps at me is when I've started it. I know that when he gets angry at me it's because I've pushed him too far. He never yells, never rants.... I wish I were more like him....for HIS sake. :(

Must be German men too. This man has the patience of a saint. I truly do wonder sometimes how he tolerates me :)

Wow. I love confrontation. Naturally, my wife despises it and will go to great lengths to avoid it, so that makes things interesting sometimes.

Overall, we complement each other, though. I'm able to help her be more forceful (she readily admits she needs to be at times) and she can help pull me back when I'm getting too embroiled in whatever confrontational situation I happen to be in at the time.

I know that the only times Darren gets "upset" with me (I guess "upset" is too strong a word) are when I interrupt him while he's talking or get upset about something I (or he) can do nothing about (like USCIS)...then he just rolls his eyes and waits for the moment to pass...
