Hello again,

So I tried to get my Louisiana drivers license from the DMV a few weeks ago before I got my EAD. They sent me away and told me to come back with my EAD.

So I got my EAD last week, read up online all about how I will have to take a written driving test and then the actual driving skills test to enable me to get a license. Downloaded the "highway code" eqivalent handbook off the net and read it cover to cover to learn all the rules and the traffic signs.

Went to the DMV today armed with all my documents and ready for the test and they just issued me a drivers license, no problemo!! No test of any kind was required, just a $21.50 fee

Which office did you go to? Just curious.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

Cool. I think I know where Lindsay will be getting her license. Did they ask you for a british license first?
