I was wondering if anyone has heard this. A poster in another forum has said that there is a new procedure at NVC that everyone now goes through administravite processing at NVC and once cleared, packet 3 is sent out from NVC and only packet 4 will be sent from the embassy. Another person posted that this is now the procedure and that it is the way of all the consular offices. I have attached the posting below.

I think that only applies to CR1/IR1 visas. They are processed differently from K visas.

Thank you, I think you are correct. I spoke to a lady that was very helpful tonight at the NVC, and she said she knew nothing of this. She also told me that she did not see that I was in "administrative processing" which the last 12 service representatives said that I was. It is frustrating that you cannot get honest answers from these people!

Side note: I am a Sooner, and I will never forgive Danny Manning of single handedly taking the National Title away from us when he played for the Jayhawks!!!

I think also that when speaking with the operators at NVC - their interpretation of the words "Administrative Processing" and what we generally accept it to mean here on VJ can be 2 different things.

I had an operator tell me our file was going through "administrative processing" - what she meant was a final review before approval.
