VSC: NOA2 to NVC

So, I received NOA2 on January 25, but NVC still hasn't received my case. How long have other people's petitions been taking to get from VSC to NVC lately?

From what I've been reading about five business days. . .but according to some people's timeline it is much quicker. I personally tried this morning and couldn't get through so I wait more. . .

VSC forwarded my case the next day after my approval..I called NVC after two days of my last touched,and they already got it..did ur case got touched after ur approval?once it get touched, it means they moved ur case and f0rwarded it to NVC..

It did get touched. I called and the system said that they had not received my petition yet. That was about 8 hours ago. I just got home and found a letter from NVC in my mailbox. I guess it would be too much to expect the phone systems to have up to date information.

P.S. - The letter from NVC is dated February 1, 2008.

Your package may already hit to Vancouver (Embassy or consulate). I check DHL's website and found out from Feb 1 to Feb 6, there are 2 packages sent to Canada, 1 to Montreal, other to Vancouver "I think this is your". I spoke to NVC lady 2 days ago about my package. She said, " the package is usually ship to consulate before they send letter out.", How about you send email/call Embassy or Consulate tomorrow. All the best to you.

Call NVC back and ask them the day that ship out. If it's Feb 4, I'm very sure that was your tracking number above. Good luck to you.

Billy you weren't using the automated system when calling the NVC were you? K-1s arent in the automated system.

Thanks. I got Lindsay to go ahead and fill out DS-230, so that she can fax it with the checklist as soon as she gets the packet. I hear that the Vancouver embassy is pretty quick about setting up interviews. We're going to request ASAP.
