Copying Yahoo I.M. chat archives, help !!

This is very time consuming, I have been copying from Yahoo I.M. archives. And than pasteing to Word document. Its not as orginal as printing chat right out of the archives, but takes less time. Printing right from my yahoo archives only does 2 pages at a time and is hard to line up w/out chat overlaps

I hope the easy way will be excepted, dates, time and names are shown, just not the yahoo logo.

Please if someone who knows could advise.

I created a folder on my PC to save them in and just save them from the chat box before I close it. When saving make sure to just name it the date of the chat then when you print them the date shows at the top of the page. I just printed 2 or 3 from each month to show on going relationship.

I also just printed a few chats. I didn't think they wanted a book to read through. I'm sure those that have gone through the Philippines can give you the best advise.

Ongoing relationship evidence is not a requirement for the initial petition but will be at the consulate interview... If you are only petitioning concentrate on the type oof evidence that will get you approval.... IM's will not....

I did this thing..printscreen of us talking online just to proove the dates and us talking and then a few of our conversation of that certain day but i didnt print everything(conversation). Wasn't asked from me though.

It is or can be used as ongoing relationship evidence .... What it isn't is proof of having met in person evidence which is the primary concern with the initial petition....

If you havent filed yet, yahoo chats arent goign to prove anything for the I-129f. You need aitline ticket receipts, hotel receipts, visa stamos etc. They are only concerned have you MET in the last 2 years. Not that you have a relationship per se.

Once you get to the interview stage, Then you prove on-going relationship with emails, letters, phone records, chat logs, etc, and you only need the first page showing the date of chat and a few for each month. You dont need hundreds, just a sampling over a period of time.

I didnt submit ANY chat logs with my I-129F and we were approved. Save that stuff for the interview. Dont put too much stuff in your petition for the USA side.

I have a good idea that im doing... and this is for the interview stage..

I downloaded for free on the internet a screen capture program...

you can capture the screen on your desktop and have your yahoo messenger up

and have a chat session up... then you print the screen.. this is beautiful because

just copy pasting them doesnt really prove it... anyone can type in a chat session

if they wanted to take the time... or maybe I missed something in printing chats.

but I like the screen capture.... Im going to do it also while she and I are on cam

and that would capture us both in chat....

We submitted printouts of our Yahoo chats along with other things like emails, phone bills, etc.

Hey, glad to see I am not the only one who did this. I also saved our chats from Yahoo and boy is there a lot.

I only printed selected dates, say once a week or twice a month and sent them to the embassy with all the other paperwork, not with the petition.

He was really worried about having enough evidence of a relationship but they never asked for more evidence, all I had sent were the chat logs and some pictures. Since we talk over Yahoo there were not even any phone records.

I would say go for it with the paperwork to the embassy, at that point I don't think there is such a thing as too much evidence.
