I've looked on www.careerbuilder.ca and monster.ca but I can't find anything. I don't even narrow my results! Is there some secret place Canada hides their job advertisements?

5/23/03: Justin arrives to visit me in IA from SK.
6/7/03: We got married!
8/23/03: Filed I-130 from SK
8/25/03: Phoned border guards & asked if J could escort me back to IA, yes.
8/26/03: Arrive in IA
8/27/03: Went to USCIS local office to ask if J could stay in the US and file papers, yes
2004: I-130 approved!
6/05: Filed AOS/EAD
7/2/05: Rec'd receipt for I-485
8/05: Rec'd RFE for Biometrics
9/9/05: Rec'd RFE for medical
12/2/06: EAD APPROVED!
12/5/06: EAD card rec'd
1/15/06: AOS interview date for 4/11/06 at 11:00 a.m.
4/11/06: APPROVED!!!!!! NO MORE USCIS FOR 10 YEARS!!! WOOHOO!!! 2016...seems more like a page # than a year. Haha.

Look the EI site and there is more jobs there, that's the place I go .....

The latest news out is Alberta is BOOMING !!! I was born and raised in Alberta. The job market there is busting big time,a nd tons and tons of pple are moving there. Did you try Canada.com I think it is? Try Manpower sometimes that is a good way to get your foot in the door. let me know how you make out.

Workopolis is the best place to start. It's national. If you're looking for a corporate-type job, go directly to the web sites of the big banks and others. They post under About Us > Careers. What kind of work are you looking for?

jobbank.ca and careerbeacon.ca are both good sites (though careerbeacon is most useful for jobs in Atlantic Canada). The Globe and Mail online, federal and provincial government websites, larger universities' (U of T, etc) job sites are also good places to start. Headhunters are an okay option for IT & exec work. If you're looking for something temporary/immediate, you might try one of the national/international staffing agencies such as Spherion.

I guess it really depends on what you're looking for, because I just did a quick search on Monster and there were plenty of receptionist and IT jobs (what myself and hubby do, respectively).

I'd suggest checking school board job boards too. They don't tend to post on places like Monster or Workopolis.

Depending on your field, you might have more luck with a field-specific site too (although those can be tricky to find if you don't already know about them...)

For sports and sports-admin stuff, www.canadiansport.ca has a good jobs section.

And if you're interested in working for a non-profit, you can also check www.charityvillage.com and Good Work Canada.

12 Feb 2009 - Montreal requests copy of green card to close file (sent)

24 Apr 2009 - CRIS notice saying my case is being reviewed. (eek!?)

4 Sep 2009 - Documents mailed to VSC

9 Sep 2009 - Documents stamped received at VSC

14 Sep 2009 - NOA received

23 Sep 2009 - Biometrics letter received

15 Oct 2009 - Biometrics appointment

I use this one all the time if I'm looking for jobs. It's pretty good and updated every day for new ones. Monster.ca has too many 'fake' ones like promising that if u work at home u can make 10k a month.

cbc.ca also has a jobs section

also pinpoint the major newspapers in the area you are looking at and look at their classifieds.

Other previous posters have mentioned all the websites I had good luck with, so have fun searching! :)
