I have no problem to get a guy. I had met guys through church, parties, celebration, through friends & other places. it doesn't make any difference where we meet together as long we love each other same with couple who met in church, swing party, disco or anywhere.

Both members of a game-related website for several years without really noticing each other, and then we were sort of deliberately left together by a mutual friend during a group skype conversation and ended up talking for hours... eventually we stopped fighting it and started dating.

we met teaching English at the same school in Asia, we started dating about a month after we met. when my 1 year contract came to an end about 6 months before his, and i had to come back home to nyc, we knew that we couldnt be apart. so we had a long distance relationship for 5 years until last year when we finally got married! :wub:

My favorite line in Revenge of the Nerds goes something along the lines of:

Hot sorority chick: I didn't think nerds would be so good in bed

Lewis: Jocks only think about sports, nerds only think about sex.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

LOVE this movie - Hot sorority chick = Miss Betty Childs

By the way...greetings from Wrigleyville. I go out to Arlington Heights once a month or so to see a friend, and we always eat at Fuego, which is the best Mexican food I've ever had this side of the border (well, considering it is b/c I've never been south of the border :-p)

Nice! We live just around the corner in Dunton Tower. As soon as someone buys our house in the UK (see signature) we can a house out here. I can't wait to get out of this apartment!!!

We usually get amazed looks when we tell people how we met ... we stayed at the same B&B on Orkney (most Americans don't even know where it is) ... we both like to holiday off the beaten path.

However, the internet kept us in touch ... we probably never would have kept up if we had to write and mail letters.

We met in 2001 when he joined the company I worked for. I was based in London and him in the DC office. He was sales and I was marketing so we worked closely together. Emails turned from professional to friendly, and we both travelled extensively, so we would always see eachother at events around the world. One night we got really drunk with a bunch of others from work but we ended up the last two at the bar. That night was the beginning of our relationship, and we did the transatlantic thing for years until he proposed in early 2006. Thank god because I had just about run out of Virgin airmiles at that point. :)

Chris and I met several years ago in a drumming forum.

Started out just as passing friends...then it changed to talking a little more often...then everyday...then almost as much as freaking possible. At this point neither of us wanted a LONG distance relationship. But after more then a year we decided to meet. Shocking as it was cause he was about the shy-est guy in the world, he flew to Charlotte for a few days and we both fell absolutly head over heels. Dated by flying back and forth every 3-6 months for nearly 4 years and we got married last June.

What really struck me about him was his passion for music. We could talk for hours about music. Then he introduced me to our NOW favorite band. The rest is a bit of our history! *smile* now I am all sentimental this morning..... (L)

Yahoo Chat in one of the Irish Rooms.

We met in a Yahoo Chat Spanish room and spent the first couple of weeks not realizing that the other one could speak english!

It was my first foray into the Yahoo chat and I was overwhelmed with all these little boxes popping up on my screen so I closed them all down as fast as I could until I was left with only this one. We spent 9 months chatting in messenger and email just as friends until we eventually decided to meet up in Chicago. The rest is history .......... love at first proper sight and all that!

And we hardly ever speak spanish together any more (although that is his first language and I speak spanish all day long at work!)
