All the kids seem really well rounded and happy. Plus she home schools them.

Just wait till one comes out of the closet or decides they want to marry outside of their faith. Disaster.

This family has cult written all over it.

Not to mention giving birth to 17 children in an already overpopulated earth.

Sorry, there is something strangely eerie about this family.

lol I have actually thought about that.

One of those girls is bound to become the town #######, and one of those boys is bound to be gay.

But I do like them a lot, I find them insanely intriguing.

Their house is INSANE!!!

I just love in the pictures how all the women are doing their womanly tasks like cooking, cleaning and ironing while the boys sit around and play pool and chess :thumbs:

Also note the women wear only skirts which they get from the community closet!

I can't imagine the parents as sexual, but obviously they're quite the animals. Rawr!

they kinda creep me out too. they all seem so excited when they're talking about doing stuff together. also, I would go crazy without alone time. how many people in one bedroom? no thanks!

eta: I saw on the show the other night that the mom actually said they have a buddy system and the older kids take care of the younger ones like help them pick out clothes for school and get dressed and stuff because she can't do it all herself

They really creep me out! There are several girls from families in my medical school class and they are having sensory overload right now. I don't think they know how to handle life when you are allowed to think for yourself. One of the Duggar documentaries had the boys talking about how annoying it was when people said they had no independence. THey responded by saying that they are all individuals, with different activities (all within a specific set chosen by the parents) and different favorite foods. They are so indoctrinated they don't even know what independence and individuality ARE! It's not saying, oooh I like playing the mandated violin better than the mandated "jurisdictions" (their word for chores), but saying "hey I want to play cello instead of the violin..." And ok, no condoms and no pill, I don't get it but ok. But WHY can't they use natural family planning? The world is overpopulated as is, with so many abandoned children. Why can't they adopt 17 of them instead? And seriously, WHAT is up with the hair??? I say we all gather in AK, storm the house and give them fashionable clothes and revamp the "community closet" Anyone seeing fishnets???
